Sophie:
Keefe shut the door behind and I sighed in frustration.
"It's ok Sophie. He just needs time, and we gotta be patient I guess." Linh said gently.
"I know that. I just wanted him to eat."
"You can't force him to." Fitz pipes up.
"I think it's all just a little too much for him." Dex adds quietly.
"I know," I sigh "I better go after him." I grab the fruit "he's going to eat this, I'll convince him."
I head out the front door, Keefe was over leaning against the side of the house.
"Keefe, you need to eat! I just wanna help." I exclaim, a mix of frustration and affection in my voice.
Keefe crossed his arms, his defiance unwavering. "I don't need your fruit, or your help," he grumbled, his stubbornness shining through.
Undeterred, I pull out the piece of fruit. "Come on, Keefe. Just one bite," I said, a hint of determination in my voice.
"No thanks."
"Please. For me?"
Reluctantly, he took a small bite, his resistance starting to crumble.
But Keefe being Keefe, he couldn't let go of his stubbornness easily. It took a lot of pushing, challenging, and playful banter to finally break through his defenses.
And when that tension between us reached its peak, I couldn't help but give in to the overwhelming desire and kiss him, our lips meeting in a moment filled with both longing and uncertainty.
"I love you Foster."
"Ah, there he is!" I playfully tease, a mischievous grin on my face. "I love you too, Keefe."
He runs his hands through his perfectly tousled hair, a nervous habit that only adds to his undeniable charm. "I'm sorry, Soph," he says, his voice filled with genuine concern. "I just don't know what to do." He closes his mesmerizing eyes, the kind that could make anyone weak in the knees. "He's gone for 140,000 years, but I can't just erase everything from my mind. The scars, the flashbacks, the nightmares... They haunt me, along with the memories of my mom. And now, everyone knows about my insane, super powerful abilities. It's not what I wanted, and I can't help but feel like such a burden to you and everyone else."
I reach out and gently place my hand on his, feeling the warmth and strength radiating from him. "Keefe, you are far from a burden," I assure him, my voice filled with sincerity. "We all love you so much and we're here to support you through it all."
He finally meets my gaze, his captivating eyes locking with mine, and for a moment, the world fades away.
"Thanks Foster." My heart went into hummingbird mode. Was he always standing this close?
Was his voice always that hot?
"Keefe!" Biana yells "Mr Forkle is calling your imparter."
"Oh...I must have left it inside."
We head back in, my curiosity was burning, what did he want?
