Sophie:

I can hear my heart pounding.

My ears were ringing as I gasped for air.

Everything around me was destroyed, the ruins of the city that was once Ravagog.

I need to find Keefe and Ro. I scramble to get up but scream in agony as a searing pain flashes across my head.

With trembling hands I reach up to feel head. I pull my hand away, covered in blood.

I take shaky breaths, trying to calm myself. When I finally started breathing normally I looked around me.

Dead ogres were everywhere, and there was probably more underneath that rubble.

How did I survive?

"Blondie!" Ro comes limping towards me.

I sigh with relief. "What happened Ro?"

"I don't know but I've sent out an emergency aid request to the elves, the trolls, and the gnomes already and I was looking for you both."

"Do you know where Keefe is?" Panic swamps me, he could be dead underneath a pile of rubble for all I know.

"I don't know, but I'll find him....but first we need to get you treated for that head injury."

"No." I reply firmly "I'm coming with you to find him."

"Nope. Absolutely not." She answers sternly.

"He would do the same for me, and I'm not leaving until I know he's ok."

"He wouldn't want you to."

I look at her with pleading eyes. "Please Ro."

After having a mental debate with herself for a few seconds she gave in. "Fine Blondie, let's go find your man."

She picked me up carefully, and we started our search.

It wasn't long until we found the unconscious Keefe with half his body buried in the rubble.

I wiggle out of Ro's arms, wincing with pain as I do so. We rush towards him, kneeling on the ground beside him.

"Keefe?!" I shout, urgently.

He stirs, replying with a groggy "Foster?".

"I'm so glad your ok." Ro says quietly.

"Me too." He groans.

I was about to make a sarcastic reply when I saw the massive ruins, looming over us, threatening to collapse.

"It's gonna fall." I scream.

Both their eyes widen, a sense of panic washes over us.

"Quick lift the rocks, or use telekinesis or whatever to get him out."

When he's finally out, we see the extent of his injuries.

Cuts and brusies obviously covered his whole body and he looked like he had a few broken ribs too.

But the thing that scared me the most was the jagged piece of rock stuck in his side.

"Of course." He sighed.

"We need to go." The massive ruin looked like they could fall any minute.

Ro picked both of us up and started running.

But of course, nothing ever goes our way.
