"Why do you look like you ate shit in breakfast?"

Luca asks me while trading the files on my desk. It has been two days since the motel incident and I haven't been the same. My mood hasn't improved and every time I close my eyes, I see her naked on the bed touching herself.

I have never had a plan backfired me so hard. It was like a slap in my face.

"Mind your fucking business," I snap taking the file from him.

"Oh, someone is in a bad mood." He grins. Son of a bitch likes it too much whenever I am having a bad day. More like bad, terrible, worst, dreadful week of my life. "Should I call Santiago and give him a heads-up?"

"What will you take to fuck off from here?"

He thinks, "Your lighter? It's too precious to be left unused,"

My jaw clenches.

"Right, sorry. No harm man you asked and I told you."

I ignore him and opened the file, "If you're done then can we focus?"

"Sure. You're the boss."

I sit back in the seat and stroke my snow globe as a habit. "What have you learned so far about Benedict?"

Luca corrects his pose and stands upright. Something he does whenever he has to deliver bad news. In our line of business, our posture means everything. Our body language speaks more than our words. As a habit, we all have got our own respective poker faces. "He's not in New York. The last time Roco had his eyes on him he was seen at the Gentleman's club. We think he called Diana there."

Interesting.

Diana is a doctor who morally works on the grey side of the business. Not everything in this world is white and black. There is a fine line between good and bad and Diana works right in the middle of it.

Despite the fact my father is a retired colonel, my involvement with the gray side isn't known to him. For him, I am the businessman who acquired Benedict's crappy company along with David Myer's empire and saved it from further damage.

That son of a bitch ruined The Myers empire from the inside. Broke it, corrupt it with his pathetic leadership. Half of the company assets are being auctioned, and the debt he has taken to handle the assault cases against him is piling up and tarnishing the goodwill of the company. Thanks to my agents who are responding to the damages, I am not only saving Olivia's Father's company. I am protecting it until I can find the right time to transfer the ownership to her. Till then, Myer's Empire is under my guidance and every dirt that motherfucker left will be erased with acid.

"How confirm is the news? There could be a chance she went there to meet Morocco, sources tell us he's receiving his treatment there,"

"He is boss but there are witnesses who confirmed Diana and Benedict's meet-up. In fact, there's a rumor that the injury Benedict got is from-" he cleared his throat and looked at me.

"That's not a rumor. He got it from Olivia" I say proudly, "She crushed his eyes with her heels and then wiped the blood on my shirt," I don't know why I said the last part but I did. I want the world to know what my woman is like. She isn't some delicate piece of glass that can crumble beneath the weight of the world. No, she is a fighter, a warrior who gets up every day and shoves a middle finger to the world and everyone who once saw her as a fragile angel.

She is my angel. My death and my oath.

Luca blinks but recovers his expression, "She wiped his blood on your shirt?"

I nod, "Tell Roco to keep an eye on the club. I'll visit Diana meanwhile,"

After dismissing Luca, I left to meet Diana. She lives in a small town in Northern Virginia, a couple hours away from my present location. If my intel is right and Diana did meet with Benedict then there's a chance she wouldn't say anything.
