"Sir,"

Someone called me from behind. Maybe Juna or Roco, I don't know. I was focused on Jean Kurlen's lifeless body. Evidence of Olivia's wrath was gruesome and visible to my eyes.

I swallowed a thick saliva as I took in the torture she did to him. It was worse than Victor's and that is what I feared. She is breaking down. Her method is getting more brutal and reckless. Previously, she used to have a plan and was very thorough with hiding her tracks. This time it was different.

Not only did she kill him in haste. The alcohol bottle that she left beside his body had her fingerprints. It was enough for me to know the entire room is contaminated by her. If I didn't do something quick, there's a high chance of losing her.

The pressure tightens in my chest with the thought. I have to find her quickly all while I remove traces of her.

"Hmm," I didn't use words. I don't think I can use words right now without flipping. My right hand was in a tight fist as I got up and turned around.

Juna was waiting for me by the door. No expression on his face. "We have initiated the protocol,"

I nodded. The protocol is the only solution I can think would help me. It is an emergency plan. Like a code red kind of situation. I always had an emergency plan ready. Knowing Olivia is the concerned person, I knew I had to be prepared for every unexpected situation she throws at me.

My lifelong habit of being prepared for everything has always helped me and right now when I am in the deepest need, it didn't fail me. My boys are thoroughly trained for the protocol. I have personally trained for situations like this and seeing they're dealing with my wife's mess, their actions would be quick, controlled, and precise.

"Team Alpha is taking care of the parking lot and the van they took Mrs. Hill in. Team Beta is searching the hotel and the basement from where she was taken. Roco and Marcus are leading those teams, boss. As for team Gamma, I am on the lead and we're checking the floors, including this room and the roof,"

Good. They went with division. I dismissed Juna with a silent nod and began putting on my latex gloves. A fifteen-minute search of the room and I already found so many things. Her footsteps covered in Kurlen's blood was on the carpet. Drinking glasses. Melted ice on the counter. Rearrangement of knives from their holder. The two bigger ones were missing which I don't have to assume where they went.

Olivia is sleek with knives. I know she can't use a gun in a place filled with civilians. Just a little knowledge that she is aware of her surroundings is giving me hope that maybe she is still not fallen. She is still fighting and that thought makes me want to hurry all this process but I can't.

As much as I want to find her, I can't be reckless with her. I trust her to keep herself safe for a few more hours as I deal with her leftovers. This is more risky and dangerous.

Believe okay. My gut said but my heart wasn't listening. The restlessness of the two choices made me mad. I don't fucking know where she is or where could she have gone. Even if I do stop the investigation and let my people deal with it, I have no clue about her whereabouts. I can't drive around the city like a madman like I did before. I got lucked out only because Klaus saw her from one of the traffic cam footage and told me where she was.

Presently, there is no trace of her.

Seriously.

No cameras caught her. No soul had seen her. If she left the hotel there is no evidence of her leaving. Nothing.

I trace my glove-covered finger on the marbled counter when Juno calls from across.

"Boss,"

I lift my head.
