"What other things were you saying you'll do today?" He asks me as we walk down to the elevator. After our discussion in the bedroom, Asher and I didn't waste time to get ready.

We have a lot to do today and time is running like water. Asher presses the elevator button and checks his wristwatch. "I called Juna earlier and told him we're on our way so you can tell me the other thing you planned to do today,"

Right.

The other thing.

Removing two people from my hitlist. I wonder if it's the best time to tell him when he's already pissed at me for leaving him here. Obviously, he doesn't agree with my Hudson plan but I put some valid points in front of him that he can't avoid. I think that made him more mad. He knows I am right yet still, he couldn't let me go to a place lurking with criminals all alone.

To his peace of mind, I didn't object when he said he'd choose the people who would accompany me to the resort.

"Umm right about that,"

The elevator dings open to an empty mirrored space that stares our reflection back at us. Asher's eyes meet mine in the mirror of the elevator room across us and he blinks. Interlocking our fingers together he gives me a squeeze and urges me to speak without contemplation.

I took a breath and stepped inside with him. The door shuts behind us and the elevator starts to move. Asher presses the button to L and tucks me beside him on the side.

"I am going to kill Funker and Kurlen today after my meeting with Denny. All the V.I.P. guests are arriving today which means both of them will be here by early afternoon. If it's not the best time then I don't know what it is. I have two people from my hitlist at the same location and I think I can take both of them down-"

I stopped speaking when I felt his body stiffen beside me. "Or something like that," I smiled tightly and sneaked a glance at him which was a mistake.

Abort abort, don't look at the devil directly in the eye. He's mad mad. I bit my lip and quickly turned my attention to the glass case of the elevator overlooking an ocean of people walking like ants from this height.

What was I thinking? I should've just killed them and told him afterward to clean the mess. He's an expert at it so I don't think he would've minded. Gosh, since the moment I developed feelings for him, it's like I've gotten soft or something.

Previously, it didn't matter what he thought or approved of, but now, I hate to make him worry. I already had Klaus for that but Asher is a different case.

"They will come here separately," he says completely shunning me.

"What?" I scowl not expecting him to answer that.

"Funker will arrive first then an hour before the auction Kurlen will land,"

"O-kay," I said pushing the 'kay'.

"Okay? That's all you have to say?" he tucks my hair back from my shoulder.

"What more do you want me to tell you? I really didn't think you would come aboard so quickly on this. I was expecting some disagreement or you know brooding. The one you make when your mad at me but too chicken to say a shit so you give me daredevil eyes,"

"Excuse me, Daredevil evils?" he says fighting a smile.

I turn to him, "Yeah where you're eyes are smoldering. It looked hot at first but now that I know what it means it's-" I think of a proper word to describe the reaction I get when I see his smoldering eyes. Saying I get turned on isn't appropriate in a glass elevator with him. I don't want him to pound me here while giving a free porn show to the people behind us. So, I settled on something less controversial and more meaningful.
