Asher's POV

Running footsteps made their way to my room. A knock and the door opened.

"Boss, we found a body," reported Juna.

My hands fisted beside me. It's been two hours since they took Liv. I was right there and I couldn't do anything. While my men tended the girls out of the room, I was alone inside with Liv.

She was a few inches away from me when someone kicked me in the ribs and pushed me aside. I moved on instinct and fought but by the time I had killed the man, Liv had disappeared. There was a door inside the basement that she didn't locate. They took advantage of the situation and got her.

I fucking let them have her. My hand gripped the telephone beside me in a choking hold, my jaw locked in a sharp hold as attended the news of my men.

"Identity," I am afraid if I ask more, I'll explode right here. I was mad at myself. My skin was scratching me from the inside mocking me of my failure. Klaus was already on the move to find her. He hacked all the surveillance, aerial footage, and traffic cams but so far nothing.

They came, they took her then vanished like fucking ghost. I was seconds away from committing a crime but I held back. I can't do anything because Klaus reminded me the stakes of today's auction again. He told me to trust on Liv and take care of the bloody auction that is about to start in an hour.

How do I tell him I don't give a fuck about the auction right now? I should but not on the verge of losing Olivia. But that motherfucker had too many valid points that stopped me from going savage. Even Denny agreed my presence is required to stop the auction from happening.

I know Olivia would want me to do it but I just can't sit and wait for her to come here. Trust Asher. Trust your wife. I inhaled and got up. The telephone cord stretched under my hold. Dad was on the line so I couldn't hang up. He got the hotel's number where I was staying and called me instantly when I messaged him last night about postponing the flight to Madrid.

Juna stood straight. "A male body. Height 5'9. Dark brown hair-"

"I don't need his bodily information, Juna. I am not a fucking doctor. Just tell me his name and the place where he got Killed."

"Yes sir. He was found in the A13 parking spot. His body was severely tortured so we couldn't identify him right away but Roco is on it. He had four missing fingers, broken ribs, and a gunshot on his left knee-"

"Wait," I said and lifted my hand in the air, "How many fingers were missing?"

"Four sir,"

Olivia.

Olivia's POV

"Keep moving like I told you," I told Heath.

Witnessing Victor's death had traumatized him but he was smart enough to know the only way out of here, away from me is to follow my instructions. I don't know what connection Heath has with Benedict but I wasn't letting him go. I won't overlook it again.

After dealing with Kurlen and Funker, I'll ask Klaus to investigate him but right now I won't let him slip past me. I won't make the same mistake again.

He saw me kill Victor. Torture him to death. I did so purposely to make him realize what exactly I have become. I will show no mercy for Benedict's men now. They don't deserve it and I am tired of looking goodness in him. My mom was blind or just easy prey that he manipulated so well she couldn't see the evil beneath his exterior.

But I have seen, heard, and felt the sickness of Benedict. He dragged me to hell and I have no reason to return back to my old self. If Asher loves me like he claims to even though we never verbally said the L-word, then he would accept me like this. Previously, I hid this self from him.
