CHAPTER ELEVEN:
As (Y/N) and Elias entered the room, they couldn't help but notice the chaotic scene.
Papers were scattered all over Kyojuro's desk, and he looked visibly stressed and overwhelmed.
Seeing Kyojuro in such a state concerned (Y/N) a lot-Maybe a little bit too much.
Tengen, always the showman, greeted them with a flashy smile. "Well, well, look at these two-Kanroji and the new kid. What's up?" he said, trying to lighten the atmosphere.
Giyu, the more reserved of the group, simply nodded in acknowledgment.
"Ignore him. Please, come inside you two." Kyojuro gestured for them to come inside, and they took a seat, trying to make sense of the situation.
"Is everything alright, Rengoku-Sensei?" (Y/N) asked, her concern evident in her voice.
Kyojuro let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair. "I'm sorry for the mess. We've been trying to sort out some curriculum changes for the upcoming semester, and it's been more challenging than we anticipated," he explained.
Tengen chimed in, "Yeah, and the higher-ups keep changing their minds. It's frustrating as hell."
"We're going to be whipped..." (Y/N) mumbled under her breath, loud enough for Elias to hear her frustration.
More curriculum changes means more work for her and the other students.
A sigh escaped her lips, "Anyways- Rengoku-Sensei, my Nee-San said you needed these." She motions to the textbooks she held in her hands. "She told me to give it to you."
"Ah! I've been looking for those." Kyojuro beamed at (Y/N) with a smile, her aura giving him the power to get back on his knees.
It was always such a blessing to have (Y/N) around him-Its as if she is some kind of sunshine, and Kyojuro yearned for his sunshine.
"Thank you, (Y/N). I really appreciate it." He grins.
(Y/N) returned Kyojuro's smile, feeling relieved that she could help him with the textbooks. "You're welcome, Kyojuro-Sensei. Nee-San asked me to make sure you got them," she said, glad that she could fulfill her sister's request.
Tengen, never one to miss an opportunity for a joke, chimed in with a corny pun. "Ah, textbooks, the key to unlocking knowledge! Am I right?" he said, winking playfully.
Giyu couldn't help but scoff at Tengen's antics, shaking his head with a hint of amusement. "That wasn't even funny."
Tengen heaved out a sigh, feeling unappreciated. "That's very mean, Giyu."
The stoic teacher replied with a grumble, "What does math have to do with this?"
Elias broke the silence that now covered (Y/N). He snaps her back to reality with a question, "Are we done here? Tanjiro and the others are waiting for us."
