I watched as random people passed us. Almost ignoring our existence completely. Making me feel slightly calmer. Even with my heart beating in my ears. I wasn't sure what to think about seeing father again. I knew for a fact he would be very angry, considering I left his church in that kind of a state. However, he seemed like a caring man for the most part.
Fallon led me towards a large church. While Nollaf kept a strong hold on my arm. His attention focused on somewhere else completely. As the glass style doors pushed opened, I felt a wave of nausea. Expecting this, Nollaf's grip remained strong and almost death like. I gave him a small side nod as thanks.
The two continued to pace towards the center. Were a tall man stood studying a large book. His short grey hair was neatly combed to the side. Allowing his wrinkles and aged face to remain visible, even in the lack of light given off from the candles. His light grey eyes looked up towards our direction. Causing the book in his hands to fall aimlessly to the ground. The old man practically ran towards me, trapping my body completely in a large bear hug.
"Marc, there you are!" I blinked surprised at the old mans kind words. The man pulled back, allowing his almost colorless eyes to look deeply into mine. "I thought the vampires had gotten to you. Looks like your faith protected you."
"Er..yeah" Father looked into my eyes. Most likely just noticing the slight color change.
"Have you said the lord prayer?" I nodded.
"Of course, one a day. Just like you said." Fathers large hand patted me once the shoulder.
"There's a good lad. " The two teens coughed earning the priests attention.
"Ah that's right." Father responded, while making his way towards the twins. The old man held out his arm and began to form the signs of the cross on Fallon and Nollaf's foreheads.
"Hey, whats that for?"
"We were expecting some money." Father only chuckled.
"Your jobs are not done yet my sons."
"Huh?" All three of us responded. Only making the old man laugh once again.
"I still need you two for a very important job. I would also appreciate it, if you brought your siblings along."
"I'm afraid that is impossible."
"They are all dead, however the two of us can handle your next assignment."
God's servant only sighed. "I am terribly sorry for you losses. God will welcome them into his kingdom for their great accomplishments. "
"Yeah sure, but whats our next task?" Fallon called out. Not sounding the slightest bit upset about the family's death.
"Fallon!" Nollaf hissed towards his twin. Sending a warning glare towards the mirror image.
"A bit impatient are we? Don't worry, this next task will be worth it." Father stepped past me. While reaching for the large bible he had dropped only a few seconds prior. "I plan on eliminating the monsters of this earth once and for all." He explained making my eyes widen. "In order to achieve this we will need to rid this world of it's source, only then will we free humanity from the devils sins."
"So you mean, destroy the whole royal blood line?" Nollaf asked.
"Precisely, without the loyal blood line all demons will die off. Leaving a perfect human society in Gods image." I began to panic. As the feelings of anger started to rise up. 'Does he plan on killing the innocent ones to?'
"I see, will anyone else be helping with this 'special case'?"
"If I remember correctly, Van Helsing has his own blood line."
"His descendant is a fool. Instead of hunting, he only wishes to study them. The Helsing blood line is a disgrace."
I began to form fists. 'Not all of them are evil.' My mind wanted to argue. Knowing that this was not what father had taught me.
"I see.."
"..this job might be very tough"
"No need to worry. Those brainless sinners will be eliminated. For it is Gods will."
"That is wrong!" I suddenly screamed out. Only to realize my actions a second too late. The priests eyes turned dark as he looked me in the eyes.
"Excuse me my son?"
"Y-you, you should know better then this! Not all of them are evil you know. They all didn't choose this fate. You can't just assume that they are the only ones that sin. Humans do too. My own family tried to kill me constantly for the last week."
"You-" Nollaf started. His eyes wide in pure shock. I looked at him questionably, only to realize that my fangs had grown slightly larger and were easy to spot.
"Vampire." Fallon finished, pulling out a small knife from inside his pocket. Both teens began to circle me. Making sure that I would not be able to escape.
"Marc, my son. What has happened to you? The curse has been passed on." Father started. His grip tightening on the holy book, clutched onto his chest. I shook my head.
"It doesn't matter. What your planning is wrong."
"I'm afraid it must be done. Even if it means killing the ones you care for." I tightened my fists.
"Then i'll stop you." I responded. Feeling a small amount of power coursing through me. "I wont allow innocent creatures to be killed by your hands over some book."
Before I knew it, the old man had rushed over to me. Sending his large weakened hands to slap across my face. I blinked. Surprised at the mans actions.
"I don't know what you have been through. However, you must never speak the lords name in vain." He hissed. Making me step backwards, and closer to Fallon, who had his knife ready for the kill. "You have abandoned God my son, your soul will never be allowed through his gates." I only growled. Before using some power that I had never knew was within me. Without think I jumped back. While gaining some height allowing me to easily jump over the teen and make it safely to the front doors. Instantly I pushed open the large glass style doors and ran off into the night. Taking notice of the old mans harsh words being called out behind me.
"Get him!"
