So sorry for the long wait! School is now over, so updates should be more frequent.
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————- I pushed past the crowds of people. Not paying much attention to the world me. Only one thing was on my mind, food. It had been a while since my last meal.A meal I would never want to go through again. The scaring image of the poor woman's face forced to remain in the back of my mind. The way she had pleaded for someone to save her from the monster feeding off if her. That monster was me.
A curse was placed on me from the day of my birth six years ago. One that had forced me to change into a creature of pure darkness. I shivered slightly from the rain. Knowing full well that returning home would be out of the question. My bloody eyes scanned the world surrounding me. Looking for any source of energy that did not include killing.
My eyes landed on a small bakery. The smells of freshly baked bread mixed into the smell of rain. 'This is something that humans eat.' A small voice in my head cheered. Without even thinking I made my way inside of the store. My hair began to drip. Causing a large puddle to trail behind me. I noticed the baker watching me from behind the counter. His old tired eyes followed my movements as I wandered through his small store. I only shrugged his stare off. Hoping that it would make me look less suspicious.
To my luck, another woman walked inside the store. Her long blonde hair was neatly tied back into a large bun. The woman smiled brightly towards the older. Causing him to return the large welcoming smile and move his attention towards the new customer. With the man now distracted, I rushed to push a stray loaf of bread into my long cloak. I looked back once to make sure the old man was still distracted before taking my hastened leave. As soon as my foot stepped outside of the shop, a loud angry voice boomed behind me.
"Hey, get back here thief!" Instantly I took off running. Not wanting to get caught and sent who knows were. My short legs pushed me through the large crowds of people. I looked back to see the old man rush to catch me. His eyes full of pure anger. "Police!" The man called out towards a wandering officer. "Catch him, he's a thief." The young officer looked immediately towards me direction. Now running towards me at full speed.
Without thinking I rushed into a long dark alleyway. Taking note of the large foot steps making their way towards my rush form, I ran into an old abandoned building. My eyes checked over the dark shadowed building once before shutting the door. I waited a few seconds while catching my breath. To my luck, both the officer and the angered shop keeper had rushed past. Without paying any heed to the large obvious building.
My small hand reached into the dark cloak surrounding me. Instantly, I found the stolen good. With hunger beginning to take over. I put the human food into my mouth. Only to taste, something absolutely horrible and clearly not edible. I spit the contents out, hoping to rid my mouth of the horrible taste. Suddenly I heard a small laugh from inside the building.
Instantly, I looked around. My guard up completely allowing me to be prepared for any on coming attack. "Whose there?" I hissed out. Hoping that no one was actually there, or at least it was just some homeless person. A large figure stepped into my line of vision. I stepped farther towards the wall. Waiting for the tall stranger. Who in return, held his hands up in defense.
"You shouldn't eat that." The stranger spoke, nodding his head towards the remaining pieces of bread on the floor. I was ready to resort back, however my stomach had responded before my mouth was able to form words. Out of embarrassment I looked away. Only to see the taller make his way towards me. Causing my body to push back farther. The tall man crouched in front of me, showing his neck in the process.
"Here." He spoke, his long fangs moving as he spoke. I shook my head, not wanting to feed the monster inside of me. "Don't worry, it wont kill me." The dark raven man whispered. Only making me shake my head once again. "You'll die if you don't have some." He continued, he blood colored eyes watching me intently. I widened my eyes. Feeling slightly surprised that the teen was so willing to help me.
"It wont kill you?" I questioned as the feeling of hunger began to take over. The stranger shook his head, while revealing more of his neck towards me. Without even thinking I made my way straight for the man. Instantly sinking my fangs into his long neck.
After my hunger had been silenced I back up. Allowing the man to stand up. "Thank you." I whispered. Feeling slightly bad about feeding off of him. The said man only nodded before taking his leave.
"Wait!" I called towards him. The strangers head look back towards me. "Whats your name?" I questioned. The strangers crimson eyes glowed slightly.
"Vladamire." He whispered.
"My names Dracula, and I promise to pay you back." I called towards him. Vladamire only shook his head before leaving into the dark rainy night. I sat in silence. Looking around slightly, not sure of what to do.
