I looked around helplessly. 'Whats going on?' My mind questioned. The lycan who had shouted a few seconds prior let out a warning growl.
"Prince of Darkness, we don't have time for your silly actions. Now take responsibility for once and tell us what your plan is." My eyes moved to look at his.
"Um w-what were we talking about again?" I questioned, only to be responded with long groans from around the room. Rowena shook my shoulder ruffly.
"Dracula, this is serious. Stop playing pretend before my kind decides to rip your finger nails off." The blonde whispered harshly. I turned to face her.
"I-I seriously don't know whats happening." The lycan narrowed her eyes before searching my own.
"Marc?" She questioned. I nodded. With a sigh she moved to the side of the table."You better be. Listen my king, it seems Dracula..is no longer with us. At least I hope not. Would you so kindly explain the situation to my new boss Marc?" The old lycan's ears twitched at the sound of a new name.
"New boss?" The man eyed me suspiciously. "Have you lost your mind girl? He looks just like Dracula, and last time I checked I'm your boss." I felt even confused. 'What does he mean?' Rowena shook her head once again and cursed under her breath. Many of the other, strangers eyed the two carefully. Until a figure who I recognized as Bram stepped into view.
"My My always one to be angered easily. How about we all take a short break hm?" The boy offered. His hand coming to rest on Rowena's shoulders in a calming motion. The blonde's face flushed a deep red before pretending to cough.
"Right, lets go Marc." She spoke, her voice slightly shaking with embarrassment. Her body ruffly jerked out of Bram's hold, allowing the girl to take her leave. Nodding I followed the girl as we wondered into a long and narrow stone hallway. Her back faced me, stopping any possible emotions to be noticed. "So finally back from your little...whatever it was?" I nodded before realizing that she could not see me.
"Y-yeah. Was I gone long?"
"Psh like two thousand years." My eyes widened.
"T-two thousand years?!" Rowena shook her head and turned to face me. Her face remaining the same deep red as before.
"I was be sarcastic..." She trailed off. Her expression changed slightly to almost unreadable. If it wasn't for the red painted on her I wouldn't have the slightest idea as to what she was thinking. "Right, well it's actually only been around two days. After you switched places with the..thing Vladamir led us back to this castle where the meeting was meant to be held. Those twins followed but lost us after a few minutes." I nodded. Taking in the information.
"So, what did he mean about the plan? a-and my appearance?" The girl sighed before rushing to take my shoulders. With ease she began to lead me farther down the hallway.
"We're planning on taking that insane priest down. If he wants a war, oh he'll get one. But we can't just take him down he is a priest after all. For all we knew he will have a never ending supply of garlic, and with ease he can turn the humans against us. If he hasn't already. " My eyes widened remembering the conversation a few nights ago. Father was serious. To me, it wasn't surprising that he wished to 'cleanse the world.' After all, that's all he talked to me about when I was younger. But the length's that man was willing to go. Was a slight surprise. "You grew up with him, so you must know his weakness." I remained silent.
As far as I knew, he had no weaknesses. He believed that he was invincible. "I can't think of anything." I whispered. Rowena only sighed.
"He's human. Surely he can die easily." I shook my head. With another memory forcing it's way into my conscious. A few years ago father had been stabbed. However he was unaffected. Now that I thought about it, he was unhurt as well. His body didn't even shed a single drop of blood. Rowena looked closely at my facial expression. "He better be human. The last thing we want is one of those, super religious angels after us." My gaze moved to the girl.
"Religious angels?" I questioned.
"You really don't know anything if you don't know what an angel is." I felt my lips form into a small pout. Causing Rowena to let out a small giggle. "I'm kidding, but.. to put it simply, there's angels which generally don't cause any problems with us. It's just those very few that think they need to please God and expect some 'promotion' in return. In the past, they've cause many problems for humans and supernaturals alike. Floods, locusts, diseases, heck they even rose some guy from the dead." I nodded. The girl smiled back and stopped us in front of a large mirror. My eyes sent her a curious look, which she only shrugged off. Shaking my head I turned to look into the mirror. The sight making my jaw drop.
The blonde streaks that once surrounded my hair moved to cover every inch of brown. That had grown slightly long, and was tied into a lazy pony tail. My eyes had changed to a deep red, followed by my skin changing to a sickly pale, and two very large fangs. I was a completely different person now.
"Well, you certainly look ugly now." The lycan joked. A smirk formed on my lips without my consent. "I would say the same to you, but I think that tomato skin colour dusting across your cheeks makes up for it. Please tell me you aren't planning on confessing to the poor man." If it was even possible the blush worsened.
"Shut up Dracula, no one asked you...or Marc?" I nodded turning on my heel to face away from the mirror.
"It's still me." Letting out the breath I was holding I held my hand out to my companion. "Now that I know whats happening. Lets head back. We're running out of time after all."
