Not Your Doll (Dallas Winston x reader)

Believe Me

A/N: I won't be posting this weekend so I tried to do a bit more this week. I have something planned that I will post either on Sunday night or Monday. Thanks for reading!

It took me a minute to realize what was really happening. It was nothing right? It was Steve coming in to my room when I woke up to my friend next to me. But it looked like my boyfriend walking in on me sleeping with one of his best friends. I didn't know what to say.

"What the hell y/n!" Steve yelled. That woke Dally up. He shot out of bed and stood up alarmed by whatever was happening. He was shirtless and it was looking worse for me by the second. "Steve I swear it's not what it looks like." I said with a shaky voice. He just looked at me with anger and disappointment. "I mean it Steve. I just woke up like this I promise. I didn't even know." I said. He didn't look like he believed me. "Steve, man, she's telling the truth. I was sleepin' on the floor and it was uncomfortable so I went up to the bed. I must've grabbed her in my sleep. She'd never cheat on you." Dally said. 

"How'd you know we were together." Steve said, now looking at Dallas. "Chill Steve. She told me at the Dingo. Darry almost knew too. No big deal." said Dally. "You blew off our date to go with Dallas?! God I never should've assumed you'd be with me." Steve said. Now I feel really terrible and I didn't even mean for any of this to happen.

Steve walked out of the room and then started running out the door to who knows where. I went to follow him but after I got out the door there was no sight of him anywhere. Hopefully he'd stop by later so we could talk. 

Soda came up to me and asked why Steve ran out. I stayed silent. He then grabbed my arm and took me out on the porch where we sat down. "I told you about Sandy so whatever you're hiding tell me now." Soda said. "Fine. I'm dating Steve and he thinks i'm cheating on him since I slept with Dallas." I said in a monotone voice. "WHAT?!?" Soda said as he looked at me with astonishment. "Did you guys at least use protection?" Soda asked. "SODA WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. He just ended up on my bed because he was uncomfortable on the ground and Steve walked in." I said. "How did I not know my twin and my best friend were in love." he said. 

I didn't know what to say about that. Were we in love? Did I even love Steve?

Soda went off to work at the DX and I stayed home because we didn't have school today. Actually.

As everyone left the house that meant me and Pony had to stay home and watch ourselves today. He came up to me excitedly. "Y/n!!! Are you gonna get ready to go with Steve?! Don't worry he told us all you were dating when he planned it. Accept Darry." He asked excitedly. "Umm where?" I said confused. "To your favorite amusement par- wait. Didn't Steve tell you?" he said. "I think Steve hates me. I don't wanna talk about it. He ran out this morning." I said. Pony didn't even know what to say. "Maybe it was a good thing...Darry would've skinned ya if you had a secret relationship and he found out." Pony said trying to lighten the mood but it wasn't working. "I'm gonna go on a walk Pony. Have fun." I said.

I got my shoes and grabbed my leather jacket. Maybe I'd find Steve on my walk. Maybe he went to the DX with Soda. I began walking out the door to who knows where.

After walking for 20 minutes I had no Idea where I was. I recognized a few buildings but I'm not sure where I remember them from. A group of Socs began following me. One of them whistled at me. "What are you doing out here alone little broad." A soc said. "I'm not alone if you dumb-asses keep following me." I said annoyed. One of them grabbed my shoulder but I didn't even care. They were gonna drag me to their car. "What are you doing to me?" I asked the soc. "You're the stubborn one with the bad boy boyfriend. Randy's gonna love to hear we got you." One of the Socs said. After they stuffed me in the backseat of their car they has guys sit on each side of me so I couldn't escape. Thankfully Duncan wasn't here.

After they got back we went to Randy's house and Bob was there too. "Look who we found wandering the streets." the soc said while tightly grabbing my wrists. Randy and Bob smirked. "Just kill me already." I said sarcastically. "Kill you? Nah. You're the bait for those filthy greasers." said Randy. "Maybe we can get her boyfriend Dallas to come here too." Bob said. That's when I remembered we told them we were dating at the drive in. "Take the girl to her house. We can threaten her in front of her family" Said Randy. They were just plain evil. "How do you know where I live." I asked. "You walk there every day after school. We've seen you." Bob said as they shoved me back into their car. Nobody was at home except Pony for as far as I knew. I didn't want anyone hurting my little brother.

They finally got to my house and banged on my door. Pony answered the door even though the number one rule of common sense is to not answer the door unless you know who it is. But common sense isn't so common is it. 

"Randy please stop. Pony is the only one here. He's too young please don't hurt him." I said quietly with pleading eyes. Pony looked at me like what the hell is going on. I didn't even know what to do at this point but the socs still had my wrists grabbed and now they were going over to Pony.

"Stop!" I screamed trying to protect my little brother. Then the guy behind me let go of me. Not because I screamed but because Dallas was there punching him. After he beat up two socs the other ones left. "So, you getting in trouble and me saving you is our new thing huh?" he said with a smirk. Then his smirk disappeared and he turned away. "I better head back to bucks." he said. "Thanks for saving me. Again." I said. He nodded and was beginning to leave when pony said "Guys, someone has to explain what happened with Steve." We both looked at each other. "Stay out of it Pony." I said as I walked back into the house and Dallas left.

I went back into the house contemplating on whether or not I should talk to Pony about what happened with Steve. Then I heard the phone ring and Pony answered it. "Hello." I heard him say. A few seconds later he said "I'm not sure but I can get her for you." he said it while walking into my room. "This is for you." he said while handing me the phone. "Hello, who is this?" I said. "It's Cherry, we wanted to know if you wanted to head to the drive-in later with me and Marcia." she said. "Sure! When should I meet up with you guys?" I said. "At about 7:00 or so." she said. She followed up with "They are showing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang  tonight." "Fun. I'll be there at 7:00 then." I said.

We hung up the phone and I went back into the living room. "Did you say yes? Are you going with the socs?" Pony asked. "Yeah. There's nothing better for me to do here." I said. Me and Pony stayed home watching movies until about 4:00 when Steve and Soda showed up. They got off work early.

"Hey Guys!" said Soda. "Hey" me and Pony both said. "We got off work a bit early today." Soda said a bit enthusiastically. "Hey Steve can we talk?" I asked quietly. "I don't wanna talk to you." he said. "You don't have a choice" I said as I grabbed his hand.

~Steve's POV~

Y/n pulled me out to the porch and she was gonna force me to talk to her. I didn't wanna talk to her because I knew I would forgive her, she is the girl I like and she cheated on me. Maybe she never even liked me in the first place. "Steve, although I didn't cheat on you there are a few things I would like to talk about." She said in her beautiful voice. "I don't wanna talk about them. If you liked Dally why did you say yes to me?" I asked her, wanting to know why she would play with my feelings like this. "Steve, I didn't like Dally. Actually, Steve, I'm not sure. I need to be honest with you. I didn't cheat on you and I never would. I do love you, but I think I love you as a friend...I thought I hated Dally but I feel something when I'm with him. I was trying to ignore that feeling, because he said he would never date me." She said. I believed her but her words hurt me. I understood that she didn't wanna be with me if she had feelings for someone else. "I hope you get to be with the guy you love. Even if that guy isn't me." I said. She looked at me sadly then kissed me on the cheek. This could be the last time I would ever feel her soft lips. Who knows what could happen next. 

She looked me in the eye and then went inside to go into her room to get ready for something. Probably a date with Dallas Winston.
