"So what did happen?" Whee-in and Moon asked each other at the same time.

The two were talking about what really happened last night. There was no point in hiding anything, both of them could look at each other and say with confidence that they did not get a ounce of sleep. Tired eyes, slow movements, everything screamed out insomnia. And now they were drinking in the quarters while talking.

They had just returned from accompanying Hyejin as she visited a relative. The visit itself had gone smoothly, but the whole trip was just awkward for both Whee-in and Moon. With Moon trying to avoid physical contact with Yong, such as subtly but instantly distancing herself once the distance between them closed to 2 feet.

Whee-in was also in great dilemma the entire time, especially at the moment when she had to hold Hyejin's arm so she won't trip. It bothered Whee-in so much, and it didn't really help that Hyejin didn't seem to remember anything from last night.

"Well, as obvious as it already is— none of us clearly got any sleep. Why?" Whee-in states.

"It's complicated" Moon replies.

"Let's just say it, for the sake of inner peace", Whee-in says with a sigh and nods at Moon.

Moon nods as well and the two open their mouths to speak at the same time.

"I was as stiff as a log last night"

"I tossed and turned all night"

Both of them raised their brows at what the other said.

"But why?" they both asked each other in complete sync.

"Aish. We need to stop talking at the same time. It's like decalcomania. It's weird", Whee-in says, shaking her head as she drinks the soju in her glass.

"The truth is..." Moon looked around to make sure no one else was  around. Yong wasn't there, as she was talking to Hyejin in the mansion. After making sure no one else was there, she continues "I slept with Yong last night."

Hearing that, Whee-in's eye widened and coughed as she almost choked on the drink. She grabbed some nearby tissue and wiped her mouth with it.

"You what?? " Whee-in asked, still surprised

"No, it's nothing like that. It's just that I slept beside her on the same bed."

"Oh. But what's so strange about that? From what I observe, you are not someone who likes physical contact. Is that it?" Whee-in asked once more

"Yes. It is that. Yong is... Very physically engaged in her sleep. I did not want to make things awkward so I had to lie still all night", Moon explained, rubbing her neck. She looks at Whee-in who seemed to understood things. Thankfully, she didn't ask Moon anything else.

It would be a disaster if Moon had to actually say that they were so close that she could hear and feel Yong's breathe in  her neck. Not to mention that Yong's hand which was  originally on Moon's arm, moved down through the night, ending up in her tummy. Moon shook her head, trying to forget all that. She drank a glass of soju and looked at Whee-in. It was now her turn to ask questions. She put her glass down.

"What about you? How come you tossed and turned last night?", Moon asked Whee-in.

Whee-in cleared her throat before answering, "Hyejin and I... Last night, we kissed."

Now it was Moon's turn to be shocked. Her eyes widened.

"What did you say?"

"Well, it wasn't on purpose, really. It was an accident. She was drunk", Whee-in looked away, a bit ashamed.

There was long silence after that and it was only broken when Whee-in poured soju on her and Moon's glass and made a clinking sound by bumping the glasses together. Moon brushed off the awkward feeling by drinking the alcohol down. Whee-in drank too, and the two of them talk about something else. Unexpectedly, Moon tells Whee-in other things, saying that it was only fair and necessary to assist Whee-in with her current position.

"Yongsun specializes in tracking targets and using melee weapons and hand to hand combat. What is your expertise?" Whee-in asked

"I'm a marksman. I handle guns. Handguns and long range guns" Moon answers.

"I see. Favorite gun? Mine is Glock G19"

"Glock 17"

Whee-in nods as they raise their glasses and drink at the same time. Whee-in then noticed she was starting to get dizzy, but looking at Moon, it seemed like she was still unaffected.

In reality, Moon had gone silent because her vision was starting to be blurry and her sight was spinning a little. Nonetheless, she and Whee-in continued to drink until Yong arrived.

Yong had just been in the mansion, and she just talked to Hyejin.

"How did it go, Yong? Did she get home alright?" Hyejin asked.

"Yes, she did" Yong lied. She didn't want to lie but she knew that Moon was doing the necessary thing last night. Plus, she didn't want to explain the whole situation last night at that place. Not right now, at least.

"Good", Hyejin said without any further questions.

They talked for a while after that, the conversation ending when Hyejin said, "You can go now"

Yong bows a little as she heads out.

Seeing the two who were obviously drunk, Yong quickly came to Whee-in who stood up groggy and was looking like she would fall down any second now. She carefully guided Whee-in to a nearby bed and laid her down.

After Yong made sure she had tucked Whee-in comfortably, she came over to Moon now. She tried to talk to Moon who was surprisingly able to answer a few questions straight.

Yong then helped Moon up slowly. But she was surprised when Moon hugged her and rested her chin on Yong's shoulder.

"Yong..." Moon muttered softly in a low voice. Yong blushed and felt her heart race. It was a different feeling and she didn't know how to explain it.

She snapped out of trance and helped Moon get to a bed near Whee-in's. She laid Moon down gently and also tucked her in. As she was covering her with a blanket, she couldn't help but look at Moon. She looked so innocent and precious as she slept.

After tucking Moon in, Yong stepped back. She then bent down and softly touched Moon's cheek.

"I'm sorry about last night, Byulkong. You probably didn't get enough sleep because of me being so touchy and clingy in my sleep. I'll make it up to you. Good night", Yong softly whispered as she went on to clean up after Whee-in and Moon.

'Three empty bottles... These two...', Yong thought and sighed. This was only the second time she saw Moon drunk, and she didn't even know that Whee-in was a hard drinker.

Thankfully, a soldier who was doing his nightly rounds arrived and helped Yong. She finished cleaning up faster because of that.

Before long, she was also ready to go to bed. It was already late and she didn't feel like driving home so she decided to sleep here for tonight. She proceeded to lay on a bed a little further from Moon and Whee-in. As she laid down, she couldn't help but feel so strange and wonder. She felt her heart. It was still racing and she didn't understand why. She sighed and closed her eyes. She has work tomorrow and she needs to sleep. Still, even with her eyes closed, she can't stop smiling.

Yong didn't fall asleep until a few minutes after that. The quarters became silent, with the only sound being the steady breathing of the three women. The two drunk and asleep, and the other dreaming about Moon.
