C.14 Shoulder To Cry On

Weeks after the 'accident' Kai was still pretty quiet, he couldn't do anything or go anywhere since what he did to save Cole. Everyone was pretty busy with Nya to even look at Kai, he'd just lay in his bed looking at the roof above.

* Knock Knock *

"Come in" Kais tired voice said, Cole walked in with a worried expression "hey buddy, hows the fire cracker doing?" He said softly sitting down on the edge of his bed "good thanks Cole" he formed a small smile from Coles joke. Cole has seen this.. thing he does alot, Kai would zone out well putting his hand on his own face.. he'd rub his cheek with his thumb well looking at nothing. He didn't know why and didn't want to ask for a bit until today.

"Come on brother!!" The black haired girl said well running in a lake, the water hit her knees and was very cold.

"Wait up Nya!!" A boy with messy hair called out running after her, but he didn't see the log under the water until he tripped over it "oof!" He yelled hitting the water.

"Kai! Are you alright!" The small girl came back running to her brother and looking at his knee that was gushing blood.

"Whats that stuff?" She said pointing at Kais knee,

"Oh thats.. uh.. thats just to tell you watch out next time! It tells you that it hurts its just a warning, now lets go home i gotta clean this ok Nya?" She nodded smiling holing her brothers hand.

When they got home Kai was cleaning the cut well he rubbed his own cheek with his finger and hand crying.

"Hey uh, Kai?" Cole said softly speaking "yes Cole," Kai answer,
"Uhm, why do you.. rub your own face?" Kai shot up from his head and looked at Cole wide eye
"you see that?!" The red ninja yelled covering his face "i- yeah but its ok Kai!" Cole put his hand on Kais back
"I was just seeing if you where ok!!" He patted Kais back as he slowly looked up "it's nothing, leave please i need to sleep" Kai mumbled laying back down "alright Kai" Cole got up and walked away, before he closed the door he looked back at Kai that was under the covers of his bed.

Hours later Cole came back to check up on him, he knocked on Kais door getting no answer he slowly made his way inside his room. Kai was hugging himself with wet drops around his face, Cole knew he was asleep from the heavy breathing.
He bend down looking at the wet spots beside his face 'oh Kai..' he thought to himself, after looking at him for a bit Cole slowly put his hand on Kais cheek and started rubbing it with his thumb.

Kais blank face formed a smile well he hugged himself harder and bringing his lags up, watching made Cole smile big. Its been to long since Kai smiled and he missed it, Kai started to slowly wake up after around 10 minutes of Cole rubbing his cheek "Cole..?" Kai said softly lifting his head a bit "hey Kai" he said with a smile brushing the ninjas hair back "what are you doing.. here?" Kai mudder before Cole grabbed his waist and lifted him up "Cole??" Kai said then Cole gave Kai a big bear hug "you have a good heart Kai" Cole said crushing him in his hug.
