She slides closer to me on the couch,
I start to sweat,
she shows me her phone as she scrolls;
our souls have definitely met before.
I open my wallet as she grins,
"it's already paid for".A notification appears on her mobile,
"yeah, we're on the first floor".
A man knocks on the door,
"I have an order for Mikey"?
I check the bag, "everything is accounted for".We take a seat and dine,
begin our feast as
we leak our crimes,
hanging on to every line,
we begin to lose track of time. She yawns as we move on to the bedroom,
"I've never cuddled before,
how is this supposed to go"?
"Give me your hands, I'll show you",
as she wraps my arms around her navel. She closes her eyes as
we exchange our first kiss,
a blitz of love fills my lips,
I can get used to
being wrapped in her bliss. She drifts off into a slumber,
her body as warm as the summer,
my soul hovers,
I finally get to share
the covers with my lover.I whisper,
"good night, I love you",
not expecting a reply.
She mumbles back,
"I love you too, I'm glad I stopped by",
as she subsides into to my embrace.—
