We can always have a
good time and chill,
even if you just
want to fuck
for the thrill.
The mixed signals
cloud my mind;
figuring you out is
like trying to
converse with a mime.
We used to talk
for hours but
that part of us died
like malnourished flowers.
I know you've disappeared
in fear of me
acting weird,
but I want you
to understand that
I'm not trying
to be your man.
If that's what's
troubling you,
that part of
me is banned
and buried deep
in the sand.
I don't want to
lose such an
important friend and
I've realized that
it's just not going to be
worth it in the end.
You're not a goner,
I'm here to help you;
it's an honor.
I told you that I
wouldn't leave
like everyone else,
so here I stand,
keeping my promise
like a man.
Life is short,
we need to find
the time and
there's so much more
to life then nickels and dimes.
Just remember,
all the memories
to be made is
just a call away,
but I keep getting
the same answer,
"Not today".
