Falling in love isn't that simple.
You can say, "I love you" but do you mean it?
Do you feel it whirl and twirl around you,
Bettering your days and brightening your nights?
Setting your well being into a state of homeostasis.
Exposing your true self,
blossoming like daffodils in the spring.
I stumble and eventually trip further and further into the custody of your very existence.
Every time I say it my cheeks get warm and I stumble over my words.
I try not to say it often though.
Don't want to make her uncomfortable with foreign feelings.
Feelings that can't be shared mutually.
It feels good to let it out but inside a furnace burns every "I love you".
Burying my pride and emotions is what I'm used to doing.
But I try to stay persistent with my love.
It doesn't just happen over night.
But true love is always worth the fight.
