They say Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
When I first seen you,
you had me looking over my shoulder.
I've gained the confidence
and walked up to your table,
When I sat down,
my brain disabled.
So I let my guard down,
Thinking, "what now?
Oh I know, keep it cool,
Shut your mouth and try not to drool.
Have fun and listen to what she has to say,
Look into her eyes and try not to look away."
Soak in every detail,
Every sentence and thought,
Because this may be last time you'll see her,
so put yourself on pause.
Hit the mute button on yourself,
Turn the volume up,
Hit play.
When I take a look into the past,
I know I can be a bit overwhelming,
Possibly a smart ass.
Yes, I have a handful of issues,
My emotions come in hot,
like heat seeking missiles.
Sometimes I can't handle them,
So I'm constantly grasping for tissues.
I don't want to inflict anymore damage,
We're already both wounded,
scarred and bandaged.
