I appreciate you guys and I hope you enjoy the chapter! The air in the Tardis was tense, Amanda and the Doctor were awkwardly standing around the ship with Martha darting eyes at them; waiting for one of them to step up and say something. She needed this tension to disappear, she had been supporting them and was thrilled when they had fallen in love as humans and now, she needed them to speak up about it.
Martha waited patiently for someone to start talking before finally saying "I think you guys need a long-needed conversation about... well everything. I'll be in my room, and I don't want to come back to you guys still not speaking to each other." She then shot Amanda an encouraging look before leaving, knowing that out of the both of them, Amanda would be the one to break the ice.
The Doctor coughed a bit, clearing his throat. "So, um. That was some adventure huh." he said awkwardly.
"Yea," Amanda said, fiddling with her ring, "it sure was." Amanda hated how nervous she was. She hated how her chest felt as though it would pop out and run away.
"I'm sorry you lost your voice, quite a shame. You would have had such a great life with your talents and your beauty." the Doctor said before stammering. "N-not that the life you made wasn't bad, also you were still talented and beautiful if anything you always surprise me with how beautiful, lovely and talented you are, no matter the circumstances. You never told me that you played piano though."
Amanda shrugged. "Playing instruments were a common stress reliever back on Fraitaro. That and books were great escapes whenever life got a bit too difficult. I used to play all the time, even when I moved to Earth; I would secretly play whatever instrument I could find or rent. I preferred it to partying." she explained softly. "My mother really encouraged me, hoping that it would help me bond more with others but no one was ever interested in even talking to me. Too human." she said, trying to seem unbothered by her own words but it was evident that she was in pain.
The Doctor noticed how Amanda seemed to deflate slightly as she thought about her mother and her planet, which made him quickly say the first thing that came to mind. "John loved you very much. You were his whole world." he winced, knowing that that was probably not the best thing to say to her.
"And Jacqueline loved him very much as well." Amanda said as she thought about the man who managed to steal her heart as a full human. The life they could have had. She then looked at the man who claimed it. "Did you know that Jacqueline wanted to marry John? She wanted to restart her life with him, only wanting to be by his side till the end of time." she said, walking closer to the Doctor, who just stared at her; not knowing what to say or do.
"She was terrified of ever showing it but she really wanted John, so she finally gave in but it was too late, we just had to ruin it. They loved each other and now they are both gone to rest, yet those feelings are still there. Never gone, never forgotten." she said, pointing to her heart. "I learned something as Jacqueline, I learned that I should be true to myself and have the courage to say what I want. She might not have been able to talk but she was true to herself and knew that ultimately John was a the one for her. And now, I am doing what she wanted; being true to myself." she said, getting closer to the Doctor. Amanda leaned up, slowly threading her fingers in the Doctor's hair and pulling him into a soft, quick kiss before pulling back. She looked for a reaction, waiting for the Doctor to say or do anything but the Doctor seemed to be in a state of shock.
"Was that alright?" she asked, starting to doubt herself. "I'm sorry, I just thought that- I mean- we had this whole thing going on and-" she was then cut off by the Doctor, who had pulled her into a deep kiss, wrapping her into his arms and holding her close. Amanda let out a small gasp before melting into the kiss, being swept away by the Doctor.
