Kristin reads a book of ice magic as other kids play from afar. He didn't have for them because to him friends are just dumb and stupid, the way you achieve something is by alone. His wolf ears flinch to hear footsteps. He looks up to see a boy with midnight black hair with blood red highlights. His skin is darker than the other kids and the kid is wearing an eyepatch.

Kristin looks at the boy with curiosity and distaste, is this boy ready to bully him? The boy just sits down and watches the clouds go by, weird he always get bullied by Alexander Campbell and his fellow minions. He closes the book to see the boy resting.

"Hey, why did you come here," he asked the boy. The boy glance at Kristin for a moment, sitting up to make eye contact with him, Kristin froze as the boy have a red eye. Red eyes are considered the most legendary and special eyes. According to myths and legends in the ancient times, whoever possessed these eyes are special and people with a future of wealth, prosperity and happiness. The boy gives Kristin a distant stare, Kristin extends his claws to defend himself, but the boy just ignored the threat and answered.

"I just come here to just have peace and quiet. The great fairy tree is a giver of good memories in some cultures. The second reason, I want to run away from the female girls who wanted hang out with me." Kristin nodded, he can tell that the boy is used to the loneliness judging by his tone and his shrug attitude. All too well footsteps gets closer ahead, jeez Alexander Campbell.

He frowned, Alexander is noticeable by his fiery orange hair with a single red highlights. His crooks stand behind him, whispering lies about him. The boy frowns to see him, maybe this boy hates him too Alexander steps forward only to be pulled down by the boy. His crooks jumped into action, one of the boys tries to throw rocks at him, but the boy dodged it. Kristin hold another boy down to stop the harnessing to the boy. The boy makes a barrier out of magic to protect himself, smiled he unleashed ice spears to freeze them in place.

The boy roared to call on the teacher, she answered and breaks up the fight. Alexander tried to speak first, but the boy beats them to it.

"Miss, they try to bully the boy. Plus, I show the videos of them bullying other kids."

"Liar, I never did. All he said is lies."

"Alexander, what Ian is saying are the truths. Plus, I notice a lot of the kids have the same scars and bruises from you and the others. I will have to talk to your parents along with your friends."

Kristin looked at the boy for a moment, he protected him, but why did he do that? He taps the boy's shoulder to talk to him.

"Hey, why did you protect me? I can handle them on my own. There is no need of you to get involved. I'm not some princess, mr. Dragon."

"Listen here frosty, I thought you need someone to...hangout with."

He growled at the boy, he would expect the boy to be angry at him, but instead he signed. That caught off Kristin off guard. He stay silent to just listen in on the boy. Why is he so friendly towards me even though he is an antisocial person. This boy is giving me the creeps.

"Look, I know you are mr.cold heart. I just did it because you push everyone away before and during school. Besides, I know I'm called the brute dragoon, but that doesn't mean I have a heart. I'm Ian. Ian, Darkeye"

"I'm...Kristin. Christopher Morris, just call me Kristin for short."

"Want to be my friend?"

"Sure, I don't mind."

"Great, I want you to meet someone."

Ian grabs his hand and run into the playground to meet someone be his other childhood friend.

"So Kristin, I want you meet Aurora. Hey sunny, I want to meet Kristin."

Kristin looked shocked to see a young girl with blonde hair that is almost silver with shining amethyst eyes. He shakes her hand as the young girl looked jolly and happy almost knowing that they will be good friends in the future.

"Hey Kristin, want to play with me and Ian? I promise it will be fun."

He smiled for a first time for a while.

"Yeah, sure I would like to."
