Zypher POV
"Or maybe the school would finish my life first." I murmured and gently covered my forehead as if giving up out of stress.
"Wala na akong tatapusin." madiin na sabi ko."I.will.drop.my.research.subject. It doesn't define my future." I let out a small funny laugh. Acting like it was all a joke.
Is it even necessary to unveil the other side of the secret story?
What can I get about knowing the past?
I reminded myself again that I'm here to know the truth. I entered this school because they offered quality experience. I am here to learn, to live, and conform with society's standards. I inhaled once more. I'm confused already. What should I do now? My family left me. My dad died a weeks ago. I exhaled deeply.
"Wala ka talagang matatapos sa karereklamo mo riyan." pambabara ni Alxe sa akin. "And no, you're not going to drop this subject. Please don't ruin my whole semester. I didn't pay the tuition fee for nothing."
You are the problem." I remarked. "I knew it! You made up all the partner list." I smirked playfully. "Oh, in case you are wondering how did I happen to know?... Of course, you make advantage of it, right? Mr. President?" I looked at him intently.
"What advantage are you talking about?" maang n'yang tanong.
"The one who got the most highest vote during the class election will have the right to change everything." I let out a bitter smile. "I don't want you.to.change.me.either." I almost cry. "I may lived my life full of secrets-but, knowing the f*cking truth? Would not change everything. What they keep and w-what mistakes has been done was already a failure, right?" a tears fall in my eyes. "I didn't study to come to know about my biological family. Iyong pamilyang kinilala ko ay mananatiling pamilya ko."
No one break the ice between us.
What happened over the past few days was already too much for me. And here I was, actively acting to continue my student life, but it turns out I was left with no option but to face reality.
A familiar deep voice echoed behind us.
"Alxe?" Heinrich asked. "What was the change thing?"
We both looked at him. And there he was, standing like a dream boy of all the girls.
"There's nothing wrong about it." Alxe finally speak up for himself. "A sudden change of list and plan is harmless, okay? he easily said. "I'd understand that there's a lot of problem we've been going through in life right now, but we should learn to act responsible because we choose to chase our dream."
A strong word of motivation is just a gentle reminder to simply believe and hold on to it. The thing is, believing was easy, but doing it was difficult.
"Is that all?" Heinrich asked sarcastically. "If then, I hope you will respect her as her. Stop demanding like she's a puppet who should only follow what you want. She is a human, not a property. I always believed that you can find a way to end whatever problem it is within you." Heinrich looked at me sadly before walking away. Marahan kong nakagat ang aking labi.
