Chapter 27

Katherine POV

I went back to bed around 6 am in the morning. Del and I stayed on the phone for 2 more hours, 1 hour of me just crying and del reassuring me, and the next hour of me just laying in bed and listening to del talk about what I have missed so far.

All the school gossip I missed, how Del and her family visit my moms grave every week, and how she has been holding up.

She knew I couldn't continue to have a conversation with her, so she kept talking as I just listened.

It felt nice just hearing her speak, even if it was about anything.

As my eyes were closing there was a knock on my door, but I had no energy to open them again so I let slumber take over me.

As I dreamt of my past with those I love.

Ken POV

I was walking towards Katherine's room, Kinn had called me to retrieve Katherine and bring her to him. I assume he wanted to tell her of the party situation finally.

As I got to her room I saw Sean and Neo switching places with the overnight guards.

The overnight guards lowered their heads a bit as they greeted me and continued on their way.

Sean and Neo did the same as I approached them.

"Good morning Ken, what are you doing here so early?" asked Neo.

"Boss Kinn wanted to talk to Miss. Theerapanyaku before breakfast" I told them.

"The miss should be getting up already Ken," said Sean to me.

I nodded, "I'll let her know then be in my way. You two will take her to Boss Kinn's office" I said to them

I knocked on the door, waiting to hear a response. But none was heard.

I frowned a bit, having a feeling that something was wrong.

I turned to look at Neo

"Maybe she is still asleep" said Neo

I noticed Sean furrowing his eyebrows

"What is it?" I asked sternly, knowing that Sean is the one who is closer to Katherine.

"She's an early riser, and she's always awake before her alarm too. She'll typically be awake but still in bed reading. " Sean said

This made me worry more, so I turned around and opened her door.

Hoping I was worried over nothing,

As I strided into her bedroom, with Sean tolling behind me, did we see her laying in bed.

"That's weird," Sean said as we got closer.

Katherine was peacefully asleep, but she looked pale, her under eyes dark, and her eyes red.

I put my hand against her forehead to check her temperature. My eyes widened a bit

"Sean call the family doctor, and tell him we need him in Miss Theerapanyaku room immediately," I told him.

Sean immediately did what was told of him , and I pulled my phone out to call Khun Kinn.

Kinn answered the call quickly

"What is it Ken?" asked Kinn, his tone sounding a bit annoyed.

"Miss Theerapanyaku seems to have come down with a fever Khun Kinn, Sean is calling the family doctor as we speak." I said to him

There was silence on the other line till Kinn spoke up

"I'll be on my way" he said and hung up.

I looked down at Katherine again, even when she was sick, she still looked beautiful.
