Levi's POV

I smiled into her rowdy hair as she rested her head in the crook of my neck. I wrapped my arms around her slim body and walked us into the kitchen, where my left over lasagna dish from yesterday had finished warming up in the oven.

She reluctantly slipped down my body and onto the counter as I put on the purple oven mitts on and pulled out the dish.

Her stomach grumbled to attention when the delicious scent rose in the kitchen.

"That smells amazing" she said, blushing slightly as her stomach rumbled again. I chuckled at her and got out two plates, serving a portion for each of us.

I walked through my living room and pushed aside the white curtain to unlock the glass door that lead onto my balcony. Adorned by a wooden table and two chairs, the balcony was my favourite part of the apartment. The view was unbeatable. The crashing of the waves was faintly audible like a soothing lullaby, while the big blue ocean stretched out as far as the eye could see for 180 degrees.

I set down the plates and turned to see Dakota quietly pad onto the warm tiled balcony, stopping short when the salty breeze blew back her hair.

"Wow" she breathed for the second time today. I smiled slightly at her awestruck face as she took in the beautiful sight.

"M'lady" I said, pulling out the chair for her. She smiled warmly at me as she set down the cutlery and glasses and took a seat.

I settled opposite her and we enjoyed the lasagne as the sun shone down on us. A comfortable silence descended upon us; occasionally I'd glance up at each her and catch a small smile before she quickly diverted her eyes.

Little words were exchanged while we ate, the small looks and 'accidental' leg bumps saying more than words ever could. When she eventually set her fork down, Dakota smiled broadly at me resting back in her chair.

"That was delicious" she said her eyes glimmering in the sun like emeralds.

"I'm glad" I said, trying hard to stay focused and not let my eyes drop to her plump lips.

Her toes bumped against mine again and her eyes flickered up to from my lips to eyes.

"Oops" she mumbled, nibbling softly on her bottom lip.

My pants felt uncomfortably tight as I squeezed my eyes shut for a moment.

"I'll put these back in the kitchen" she said, standing up and taking our plates back in.

I stayed outside for a minute trying to get a hold of myself before standing up and cleaning off the rest of the table.

Inside Dakota had stacked our plates into the dishwasher and closed the lid turning around to lean against the counter.
