Levi’s POV

I felt something warm pressed against my front fitting snugly in my arms. A fresh breeze flitted across my warm skin and the early sun rays peeked through slit in the blankets above me when i opened my eyes.

Wait, blankets above me? i thought incredulously.

I turned my head slightly and my nose was buried in soft red hair. Realisation dawned on me and i smiled slightly. I i craned my neck slightly to see that Dakota was still fast asleep, her long lashes resting against her rosy cheeks.

With my arm that wasn’t wrapped around Dakota’s slim waist i felt around for my phone and finally felt it.

7:29

I pressed a gently kiss to Dakota’s forehead and ran my fingertips up and down her sweatshirt clad arms.

She stirred slightly and let out an adorable sound like a little cat.

She rubbed her eyes and slowly opened them, laying still for some time.

“You have a knack for falling asleep with me” she said smiling gently, her voice still heavy with sleep.

“Sorry ‘bout that” i said grinning at her. I wasn’t the slightest bit sorry about my actions and she knew that. The times i spent with Dakota were filled with lots of laughter and more than once there was sexual tension when the air seemed to crackle with emotions. Needless to say, i enjoyed every second that i got to spend with her.

“You don’t sound very sorry” she said with a goofy smile on her face as she turned onto her back.

“Nope” i said smugly.

She laughed softly before rubbing her eyes again and pushing aside the blankets to look at her alarm clock.

She sat up bolt straight and picked up her alarm clock checking the time again.

“Im going to be late!” she exclaimed horrified.

“Good thing i have a car then isn't it” i said, by far less worried than her.

“You would drive me to school?” she asked unsure.

I sat up beside her, “Of course” i said.

She hugged me tightly before reaching for the crutches the doc had left yesterday.

She adjusted the height and carefully stood up. I got up beside her and rested my hand on her back to catch her if she fell.

We made it to the bathroom in record time and i let her get ready for school. in the meantime i went down to the kitchen and found the ingredients to make her a sandwich. I called Tom and told him that i would be a couple minutes late to my shift.

“Any specific reason?” i heard his amused voice from the other side of the phone. I could vaguely imagine the smug smile on his lips.

“I’m helping out a friend, and she needs a ride to school” the moments the words left my lips I had the urge to smack myself.

“A girl I hear. Not by any chance the same red head from two months ago?” he said

I rolled my eyes even though he couldn’t see me.

“Tom it doesn’t matter for you who she is, I’m helping her out and I just wanted to make sure someone can cover for me for like ten minutes that’s all”

“Sure thing” he said amusedly.

“Levi?” Dakota called from the top of the stairs.

“I’ve gotta go, see you later Tom”, i cut the line and walked over to the stair case. She was wobbling at the top of the steep steps, trying to get down by herself.
