Ashton's P.O.V

"Mum!" I yelled. "I'm home!"

I slung my bag with my wet clothes in it onto the couch.

"I'm in here making dinner!" She yelled back from the kitchen.

I trudged into the stuffy room and kissed her on the cheek.

"Did you have a good day?" She asked me as I pulled out some carrots.

I muttered a "yeah" as I started to peel them.

"You seem tired," Mum said staring at me in the analyzing mom way.

I nodded absent mindedly and continued to peel the carrots.
She walked over to where I was and took the carrot I was working on out of my hand.

"Hey wha-!" I exclaimed, but was interrupted by a shush.

"Go take a nap, I'll finish up here," she told me.

I hesitated. "Are you sure?"

She nodded.

I grinned at her thankfully.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyou," I whispered as I hugged her tightly.

I ran upstairs and ripped off my shirt and skinny jeans, leaving me only in my boxers.

I plopped onto my bed and lay there.

Suddenly, I felt like someone was watching me.

I whipped around to my window and for a split second, I saw two bright blue eyes staring back at me.

But within a blink of an eye, they were gone.

I turned back over feeling startled, and fell asleep.
