At 58 years old, Lord Andrew Charles Howard is still very handsome, but he is going through a midlife crisis, as he seen five of his children married and he isn't still over losing Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann to his second cousin, Lord Richard Wiliam Carey,
To add insult to injury, in 2308, his youngest daughter, Lady Sophia Dorothea, Duchess of Gloucester Territory announces to her father and mother that she will marry her second cousin,Lord Wiliam Frederick Howard, who is Lord Patrick William Howard great-grandson, and his grandfather is Lord Frederick William Howard The Second the oldest grandson of Lord Patrick William Howard.
His father is Lord Frederick William Howard The Third and his mother is Lady Mary Henrietta Grey and he met his second cousin, Lady Sophia Dorothea as she was a flower girl at her sister's wedding in 2294 when she was only four years old.
Lord Andrew Charles is not amused when he hears that his baby girl is going to marry her second cousin, like the rest of her sisters and brother have done before her.
Lord Andrew Charles Howard rides out to Beltane Manor and he asks to see Lady Karissa and she agrees to see him " I have come here to discuss our daughter's wedding to Lord William Frederic Howard."
"What is there to discuss, Lord Andrew Charles." Lady Karissa asks, " Lady Sophia Dorothea is 18 years old and Lord William Frederick is 19 years old."
"She is my baby girl and my youngest daughter." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
"Am I to cry a river of tears over this, Andrew Charles." Karissa asks him.
"She is marrying her second cousin." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
"What else is new, Andrew Charles. So has the rest of our children, all but Lord Albert Edward and Lady Anastasia Christina." Lady Karissa tells him.
"Lady Sophia Dorothea is going to marry Lord William Frederick Howard and what is wrong with him. He is the great-great-great-grandson of Lord Patrick William Howard as she is." Lady Karissa explains, "But he comes through Lord Frederick William Howard's oldest son, Lord Frederick William Howard The Second." Lady Karissa states.
"They say misery loves company. You must love your own company." Lady Karissa tells him.
"Where is my second cousin?"Lord Andrew Charles asks.
"My husband is visiting our granddaughter and grandson, Lady Isabella Karissa Carey and Lord Kevin Thomas Riley The Third, with Kevin, and his son, Lord Kevin and Lady Caroline Matilda." Lady Karissa tells him.
"I do have a manor to run and my own territory to govern, Lord Andrew Charles or have you forgotten I am Marchioness of Pembroke Territory." Lady Karissa tells him.
"I let our children grow up, try their wings and be happy." Lady Karissa tells him.
"I can't see why Lady Sophia Dorothea can't find someone far better than Lord William Frederick Howard. " Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
"He is Lord Frederick William Howard great-great-grandson, as Lady Sophia Dorothea is his great-great-granddaughter, and they are both the great-great-great-grandchildren of Lord Patrick William Howard through his son, Lord Frederick William Howard and his two son, Lord Frederick William Howard The Second and Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior." Lady Karissa explains.
"Lord Frederick William Howard has no title or property. How do I know he is not planning to make his son Duke of Gloucester Territory once he marries Lady Sophia Dorothea?" Lord Andrew Charles asks.
"Lady Sophia Dorothea will never give her
husband any authority on how to govern her Dukedom or Territory.." Lady Karissa explains, " She won't leave her Dukedom and Territory to a son, and she will only leave it to her daughter."
"In fact, Lady Samhain, Lady Anastasia, Lady Caroline Matilda, and Lady Sophia Dorothea have told me they will alter their succession to matrilineal succession and only her daughters will inherit their Dukedoms or Territories." Lady Karissa explains.
"Lady Autumn Bridget has announced the very same thing that only female heiresses of her body that are given the surname of Howard may inherit The Dukedom of Cambridge Territory." Lady Karissa states.
"Lady Elizabeth has given them her support but she will not alter the act to Norfolk Territory and neither will Lord Richard Edward Howard The Third to the Dukedom of Wessex Territory or Lord David Willian Beck to the Earldom of Essex Territory." Lady Karissa tells Lord Andrew Charles.
"You have no choice, Lady Sophia Dorothea will marry Lord William Frederick in June of 2309." Lady Karissa tells him.
"So if you want to cry a river, please do so, and get it out of your system, and walk our final child up the aisle." Lady Karissa tells him.
Lord Frederick William Howard The Third walks in and Lord Andrew Charles looks at his first cousin, " Why does your son want to marry my Duchess of Gloucester Territory. He will only be her consort." Lord Andrew Charles tells his first cousin.
"My son loves your daughter, Lord Andrew Charles Howard." Lord Frederick William tells his first cousin.
"I wish she wouldn't marry your damn son." Lord Andrew Charles " She is my youngest child and daughter."
"She is 18 years old and my son is 19 years old, and they are getting married." Lord Frederick William The Third tells Lord Andrew Charles.
"Lady Elizabeth , Duchess of Norfolk and Lord Richard Edward The Third, Duke of Wessex support their marriage." Lord Frederick William explains.
"Take it up with Lady Elizabeth and Lord Richard Edward The Third." Lord Frederick William The Third tells his first cousin.
Lord Andrew Charles never takes it up with Lady Elizabeth or Lord Richard Edward Howard The Third and he just decides to give in, but he is not happy about the marriage.
