(Skipped three months)

These past three months flew by. Everything happened so fast. I thought my mom was busy when they were dating, that's nothing compared to this. Lately I've been helping plan their wedding. It was this weekend. Normally, I'd be ecstatic about helping planning a wedding and being the maid of honor. But that was it. I wasn't my "normal" self. I honestly didn't want a new family. I was happy with my life the way it was now. And now I'm gonna have a stepbrother.... I don't think I'll be able to live with that. I don't care how famous they are. Guys are messy and gross. And I do not want to live with one; correction, two.

Wedding day

I was with my mom helping her get ready. Mom looked gorgeous. I had to try to be happy for her. I haven't seen her this happy for a while. So it's the least I could do...
The color scheme was a sort of silver and white combination. I was wearing a sheer grey dress with silver Louboutins. My hair is naturally curly, so I left it down with a silver headband. I put on pink lipstick and had a smoky eye.

(Skipped to reception)

I felt like I was working the whole thing. But I didn't mind. I like being occupied. And it's not like mom could set up or "work" on her wedding day. So while mom and my new stepdad were having fun, I was making sure everything was perfect and talking to guests too. When I saw Jack (g) he wasn't doing anything. Literally. Nothing. He was on his phone just sitting at a table with Jack Johnson. Honestly that seems kinda selfish. I mean, he should be at least a little bit happy for his dad. At least I was trying...

Jack g POV:

Jack had flown out to LA to come to the wedding. I was happy about that. I mean, dad wasn't hanging around me as often anymore. And Im not desperate enough to purposely hang around Jessica. Dad claimed he wanted to spend more time with me. But that was clearly a lie. I didn't want anything to do with the wedding either. So I just sat at a table with Jack and played on my phone. "Hey Jack?" "Yeah?" I replied without taking my eyes off my phone. "That girl is really pretty... You think I should go talk to her..." Said Jack. I was too upset too really care about girls. "Yep. Go for it." I say while still staring at the screen. "But she looks busy. I don't know... She probably wouldn't wanna talk to me anyway..." He said reluctantly. I nodded. I wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying. "Yeah probably not..." I said. "Thanks for the advice." Said Jack with attitude. "I'm always here to help." I replied jokingly. "Whatever..." Jack chuckled.

Hi, hope you're enjoying it so far! Sorry for the short chapters. But things will get more "exciting" later on. And chapters will get longer.
PS: Check out my other fanfic, "Friends?" It's not related to this story but just like this one, it gets interesting the more you read! Thanks!
