Chapter 16: Date gone wrong

Jessica POV:

It was a Friday and I'm so bored. It was almost 8:30pm. Mom and 'dad' (I'm trying to stop saying David or stepdad) were on a date. And Jack was out somewhere. So I was home alone. And it was awful. I had no one to hang out with. But not for long. Jack J texted me.😍 Whenever he texts me its a good thing and it makes me happy.

(J: Jessica JJ: Jack Johnson)

JJ: hey bae wanna hang out
J: yea I'm by myself n I'm soooo bored
JJ: k cool what u wanna do
J: movie?
JJ: sure. U wanna c San Andreas?
J: YAS that looks really good
JJ: k I'll pick u up in 20
J: k byeee
JJ: k bye

I got dressed. I put on Hollister skinny jeans, a red and white RHCP tee shirt, and red classic vans. I left my hair down but pulled some of it back. I did light makeup and used pomegranate EOS. In about fifteen minutes I was ready and just waiting on the couch in the living room for Jack. He eventually came. "Wow, you look pretty even when we're just gonna see a movie..." he said while checking me out. "Thanks..." I said while blushing. "So you ready?" He asked happily. "Yeah let's go!" I said while locking the door and following him out to his car. He opened the door for me and I got in. He ran around to the drivers seat and started the car.

-At movies-

Jack insisted on paying for the tickets and the popcorn. We went in the theater and found out seats. Immediately, Jack put his arm around me. I laid my head on his shoulder and he put his head on top of mine.

Jack J POV:

As soon we found out seats, I put my arm around jess and pulled her close to me. She laid her head in my shoulder and I put my head on top of hers. We fit together like a jigsaw puzzle: perfectly. "I agree." She said. I looked down at her. "You agree with what?" I said confused. "We fit together perfectly." She said while smiling. I blushed. I guess I said that out loud again, I need to control myself... She chuckled. "I can still see you blush even in a movie theater." She said while trying not to laugh. I kissed her nose, which made her blush too. "Yeah, I guess it's pretty easy to see..." I say. She smiled and redirected her attention to the movie. We watched the movie in silence for a while. Maybe I should say this now... Or should I wait... She might not hear me in here... Or could she? I guess I should just wait... It's not the right place for it... But I have to say it soon. I can't wait anymore. I cared for her too much...

Jessica POV:

Jack is so adorable. I find it cute that he doesn't realize he's saying things out loud.😉 I know he thinks it's embarrassing. But to a girl, it's cute. I'm so happy he's my boyfriend.

-After the movie-

I checked the time on my phone when the movie ended. It was 11:00pm. We walked out of the theater while raving about the movie. Our hands interlocked as we walked back to the car. He opens the door for me again. "Thanks." I say. He smiles at me. "No problem." He said while getting in the drivers seat. The movie theater was about 15 minutes away from my house.
The car ride was silent. But not a bad silence. I was just looking out the window; staring at my surroundings. It's funny how everything looks different at night. We came up to an intersection. Jack stopped for a moment, then continued driving. Five minutes later, we came up to another intersection. He stopped, then kept driving. "Jessica I-" he started but never got to finish. I heard a loud bang and I felt like I saw my life flash before my eyes. I felt sharp pain all along my right side; like I was continuously being stabbed with a knife. I felt like I couldn't breath... There was excruciating pain in my head. Everything went black.
