Chapter 22: Cindy?

-Skipped a week-

Jessica POV:

It's been a while since I got my memory back. I'm so happy I did.
But anyway, back to my crazy life. A little while ago, a friend of Jack and Jack's threw a huge party. (I heard someone called the cops😁😳). Jack G went. Jack J apparently didn't because I wouldn't either. I was never one to go to crazy parties. I don't wanna be surrounded with alcohol and crazy people. But Jack G is single so, I guess it's slightly more acceptable.
So ever since that party, he's been acting weird... He's always leaving the house for stupid reasons. And he's not as happy as he normally is. Jack J said he's probably with a girl... Maybe. That kinda makes sense. And the next day, I found out that was exactly what was happening.

"Hey Jess!" Jack G shouted through the house. I left my room and went downstairs to find Jack with a girl. She was really pretty. Tall with black wavy hair. "Heyyyy who's this?" I asked smirking at them. She smiled. "I'm Cindy, Jack's girlfriend." She said in a girly voice. Wow and I thought I was girly... "Hey, nice to meet you. I'm Jack's stepsister, Jessica." I say. She shook my hand; her other hand intertwined with his. "So that's where you've been..." I say. Jack blushed. "Yeah, we met at that party..." He said slyly. Ohh you mean the one that had the cops escort people out? Nice... *Note the sarcasm* I just smiled. "Cool. You guys are cute together." I said. "Thanks, uh we're gonna go find the rest of the family." He said while they walked away. "Ok. Have fun." I said while walking back to my room. I grabbed my phone and called Jack. "Hey bae." "Hi guess what?!" I asked. "What's up?" He replied. "You were right about Jack! He has a girlfriend!" I said happily. "Wow...I'm good..." He said sarcastically. "Yeah you are. As guess what? They act like they're in love with each other! Isn't that cute?" I say in a girly voice. I heard him laugh through the phone. "Yeah. But you're cuter..." He said. I smiled. "Are you busy?" He asked. "Nope." I reply. "Cool, wanna hang out?" "Yeah sure." "Cool meet me in the park in 15?" "Yep sounds good!" I say. I could feel him smile through the phone. "Ok bye" "Bye bae" I say as I hung up. I got dressed. I threw on skinny jeans, a yellow Ralph Lauren tee shirt with a navy blue logo, and navy blue Keds. I grabbed a navy blue Vera Bradley cross body bag and my phone. I left soon after.

-Skipped two hours-

"So what do you wanna do now?" Jack asked on the way back to my house. "Umm...I don't know. You wanna just chill?" I asked. "Yeah sure. As long as I'm with you." He said. I blushed. "I love it when you do that." He says. That made me blush even more. "I can tell. You always make me do it..." I reply. He laughed.
We got back to the house and walked inside. I saw through the patio doors that Jack was jumping off the diving board into the pool. Cindy was with him. "YASSS POOL PARTY!" Jack J shouted and ran upstairs. I ran up to my room and changed my clothes and put on my bathing suit. It was a pink fringe top with pink matching bottoms. I grabbed my shades and ran back downstairs. Jack J was there waiting for me. "Hey gorgeous." He said while smirking at me. I rolled my eyes. "Did you really bring a bathing suit with you?" I asked. "Nah, I just used one if Jack's." He replied. I laughed. We started walking towards the pool. When we got outside we caught them kissing. "Ugghhh..." Jack and I say in unison. They turned around suddenly. I guess we scared them. Jack G glared at me, but I knew he wasn't mad. I stuck my tongue out at him and he did the same. "Cindy, this is my best friend and Jessica's boyfriend, Jack." Jack G said. They shook hands too. Jack G and Cindy went back to talking. Jack J and I were sitting out in the sun. I put on my shades and closed my eyes. My mistake... I felt water dripping over me. I opened my eyes and saw Johnson standing over me and smirking. He grabbed me and I was thrown over his shoulder. Next thing I knew I was in the water. When I came back up Jack was jumping in after me. He splashed me and I returned the favor. Then it turned into a splashing war. All four of us were doing it. It was so immature but fun.
About an hour or so later I was dried off. "Hey I'll be back. I'm gonna use the restroom." Cindy said while standing up and leaving. "Ok." Jack G said. I was just laying out in the sun. I haven't checked my notifications all day. I guess now is a good time to. I must have left my phone inside. "I'm gonna get my phone." I said while standing up. "Ok bye bae." Jack J said. I walked back inside. I looked in my room, not there. (And the guest bathroom is kinda near my room. Maybe a few yards away. But Cindy wasn't there.) I went back downstairs, I saw my phone in the couch. I don't remember leaving it there. But whatever. I grabbed it started to go back outside. But I stopped. I heard Cindy... upstairs...in the guest room? I ran back upstairs. The door was open and I saw her with her back facing me. She was on the phone. "He's so clueless. I have him wrapped around my little finger.." She said. I suddenly became interested. I hid behind the wall and listened. "I can't believe he thinks I like him. Everyone knows I'm a Johnson girl." I had a sudden burst of anger. How could she do this? "Hey I gotta go. My boyfriend is waiting." She said boyfriend in a bratty voice. I stood infront if the door before she turned around. When she did she gasped. But she played dumb. "Ohh hey Jess." She said while trying to walk past me. I put my arm across the doorway and stopped her. She gave me a dirty look. "Don't play with me I heard everything you said." I said rudely. She smiled sweetly. Fake.... "Heard what?" "I know you're just using Gilinsky to get closer to Johnson. I can't believe you. You don't deserve him." I say. She got up in my face with a pitiful look. "And what can you do about it? Like he'll ever believe you." She said. "He trusts me more than you." I shot back. "Go ahead, tell him. Tell everyone. But if you do, I'll make your life a living hell." She whispered the last part which gave me goosebumps. She pushed past me. I just stood there for a second. What just happened?
I ran back downstairs and went outside. Cindy was sitting with Jack G. I sat by Jack J. Everything seemed normal. She gave me a dirty look. I just smiled sweetly, or fake, at her. I wasn't scared of her. I was gonna tell Jack. Just not surrounded by people.
