Midoriya lay curled up in bed, his normally bright green eyes dulled with illness. The stomach flu had hit him hard, leaving him weak and miserable. Bakugo, his husband, paced anxiously by the bedside, torn between frustration and concern. He hated seeing Midoriya like this, but he wasn't one to shy away from taking care of the love of his life."Kacchan, I'm sorry," Midoriya croaked, his voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean to get sick."
Bakugo grumbled, trying to hide the softness in his heart. "You idiot, it's not like you planned it. Just rest. I'll take care of you."
With determination, Bakugo set to work, fetching a glass of water and a bowl for Midoriya to vomit into. He gently tucked the blankets around Midoriya, ensuring he was as comfortable as possible. Throughout the night, he brought medicine and food, trying to get some nutrients into Midoriya's weak body.
The following morning, Bakugo's phone buzzed with a text from Denki. "Hey, Kacchan, sorry for the short notice, but I won't be able to make it to the agency today. I'm feeling really sick."
Bakugo frowned, replying, "Stomach flu?" He didn't want to spread any germs to his own agency, after all.
"Yeah, I think so. It's bad."
Knowing how contagious the stomach flu could be, Bakugo sighed. "Don't worry, I'll be there later. Focus on getting better."
Midoriya stirred in bed, overhearing the conversation. "Denki's sick too? Poor guy."
"Yeah, apparently," Bakugo muttered, now contemplating how to handle taking care of both his husband and Denki. "I guess I'll have to make double trips."
"No," Midoriya said, weakly raising a hand to stop Bakugo. "I'll be okay. You should go take care of Denki. I can manage."
Bakugo's eyes softened, and he leaned down to plant a gentle kiss on Midoriya's forehead. "You better rest, and I'll be back soon."
As Bakugo made his way to Denki's apartment, he prepared himself for the sight of his friend feeling miserable. Sure enough, Denki was lying on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, looking just as pitiful as Midoriya had been earlier.
"Hey, Sparky," Bakugo greeted, trying to put on a brave face. "You look like crap."
Denki weakly chuckled. "Yeah, I feel like crap too."
Kirishima appeared from the kitchen, concern written all over his face. "Bakugo, you're here too? Is Midoriya okay?"
"He's sick too," Bakugo replied, feeling a little overwhelmed with the situation. "I'm trying to take care of both of them. But hey, it's fine; I can handle it."
Kirishima exchanged a knowing glance with Denki, realizing that Bakugo was putting on a strong front. "Well, you're not alone. I'll help you take care of Denki. We'll manage together."
Bakugo felt a surge of gratitude for his friend's support. He nodded, feeling a little less burdened knowing that Kirishima was there to help. The two of them took turns checking on Denki and providing him with fluids and medication.
Throughout the day, Bakugo and Kirishima communicated through texts, updating each other about Midoriya and Denki's conditions. Despite the difficult circumstances, they found themselves appreciating the sense of camaraderie that came with taking care of their sick partners.
As the evening rolled in, Denki's condition seemed to improve slightly, while Midoriya was still struggling with the stomach flu. Bakugo and Kirishima decided that Kirishima would stay with Denki overnight, while Bakugo returned to care for Midoriya.
When Bakugo got back to their apartment, he was relieved to see that Midoriya was resting, albeit fitfully. He prepared a warm compress and gently placed it on Midoriya's forehead to help alleviate the fever.
"Kacchan," Midoriya murmured, his voice raspy and weak. "You're back."
"Yeah, I'm here," Bakugo said, sitting by the bed. "How are you feeling?"
Midoriya gave a small smile. "A little better, but I still feel terrible."
Bakugo brushed a lock of green hair away from Midoriya's face. "You'll be alright. Just get some rest."
As the night wore on, Bakugo stayed by Midoriya's side, occasionally dozing off himself. The next morning, he woke up to find Midoriya looking a little better. The worst seemed to have passed for him.
With the help of Kirishima, Denki also made a steady recovery. It wasn't easy, but Bakugo and Kirishima managed to nurse their partners back to health. Throughout the ordeal, the two couples grew closer, realizing how lucky they were to have each other's support during tough times.
As the last of the stomach flu's grip loosened on Midoriya and Denki, they all gathered in the living room, exhausted but grateful.
"We make quite a team," Kirishima said with a smile, glancing at Bakugo and then at Midoriya.
Bakugo smirked, a hint of his usual confident self returning. "Of course, we do. We're the best damn team there is."
