Tamaki's heart pounded against his ribs like a prisoner desperate to escape. He clutched at his chest, his breaths shallow and uneven. The classroom felt like a pressure cooker, suffocating him with its walls closing in. Every sound, every movement, amplified in his mind until it felt like an onslaught.

Mirio, sitting next to him, noticed the change immediately. His brows furrowed with concern as he glanced at Tamaki, noticing the telltale signs of distress. Without a word, he reached out and gently squeezed Tamaki's hand, offering silent support.

Tamaki's head spun with a whirlwind of anxiety. His thoughts raced, each one more chaotic than the last. He struggled to focus, his mind a tangled mess of worries and fears.

Suddenly, the room felt too small, too crowded. Tamaki's chest tightened, and he fought to control his breathing, but it slipped through his fingers like grains of sand.

Mirio leaned in closer, his voice a soothing whisper amidst the chaos. "Tamaki, it's okay. I'm here. Just focus on my voice, alright? You're safe."

But Tamaki couldn't shake the feeling of impending doom. His pulse thundered in his ears, drowning out all other sound. He felt like he was drowning in a sea of panic, desperately grasping for something, anything, to anchor him.

Mirio's touch was a lifeline in the storm. He gently guided Tamaki out of his seat, ignoring the curious glances of their classmates. With steady hands, he led Tamaki out of the classroom and into the quiet sanctuary of the hallway.

The cool air was a welcome relief, easing the tightness in Tamaki's chest ever so slightly. Mirio stood by his side, a pillar of unwavering support.

"Tamaki, look at me," Mirio said softly, his eyes filled with warmth and understanding. "You're safe here. I won't leave your side."

Tamaki's breaths gradually began to slow, the frantic rhythm of his heartbeat gradually easing into a more steady cadence. With each passing moment, the grip of panic loosened its hold on him, until at last, he felt like he could breathe again.

"Thank you, Mirio," Tamaki murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know what I would do without you."

Mirio smiled gently, his thumb tracing soothing circles on the back of Tamaki's hand. "You don't have to do anything alone, Tamaki. I'll always be here for you, no matter what."

And in that moment, as they stood together in the quiet stillness of the hallway, Tamaki knew that no matter how fierce the storm of his anxiety, Mirio would always be there to guide him safely to shore.
