I think this is my first tododeku fanfic :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The day had started like any other for Shoto and Izuku – training sessions, hero duties, and the usual banter between partners. However, as the afternoon sun dipped below the horizon, signaling the end of another day, Shoto couldn't shake the persistent throbbing in his temples. Migraines weren't new to him; the aftermath of his turbulent childhood left its mark, and headaches were an unfortunate companion he had learned to endure.
As they returned to their shared apartment, Shoto did his best to hide the discomfort etched on his face. He dismissed Izuku's concerned glances with a forced smile and assured him that it was just a minor headache. The truth was, he had been battling a growing migraine all day, each passing moment intensifying the pain.
In the midst of preparing dinner, Izuku couldn't ignore the subtle signs any longer. Shoto's movements were slower, and there was a weariness in his bi-colored eyes that went beyond the day's exertion. Concern etched across his face, Izuku gently touched Shoto's arm, causing him to flinch ever so slightly.
"Shoto, are you sure you're okay?" Izuku asked, his voice filled with genuine worry.
"I'm fine, Midoriya. Just a headache. It'll pass," Shoto replied, trying to sound convincing.
Izuku wasn't easily swayed. He knew Shoto well enough to sense when something was amiss. With a determined expression, he guided Shoto to the living room and settled him on the couch.
"Just stay here for a moment. I'll make you some tea," Izuku said, disappearing into the kitchen.
While waiting, Shoto couldn't help but appreciate Izuku's attentiveness. The dull throb in his head seemed to intensify, and he closed his eyes, trying to will the pain away. Izuku returned with a warm cup of chamomile tea, placing it in Shoto's hands.
"Drink this. It might help," Izuku said softly.
Shoto took a sip, grateful for the warmth spreading through him. As he sat there, nursing the tea, Izuku began to gently massage his temples. The touch was soothing, and Shoto couldn't deny the relief it brought. For the first time that day, he allowed himself to relax.
As Izuku continued the massage, he spoke with a comforting tone. "You don't have to bear everything alone, Shoto. We're a team, partners in every sense. Let me take care of you."
It was a sentiment Shoto hadn't realized he needed to hear. With a nod, he let go of the stoic facade, allowing Izuku to provide the comfort he so desperately needed. In that shared moment, the weight on Shoto's shoulders lifted, and he felt a deep sense of gratitude for the unwavering support of his partner.
As the night unfolded, Izuku stayed by Shoto's side, offering comfort and companionship. The migraines would come and go, but the strength of their partnership endured, a beacon of warmth in the face of life's storms. In the quiet of their shared space, the unspoken understanding between Shoto and Izuku blossomed, deepening the bond that went beyond the heroics they faced together.
