Chapter 1: Isolated Shadows

It was a beautiful day with clear skies and cold Breeze, the familiar soothing sound of tree leaves waving along with the air filled the university campus. The students were rushing through the hallways trying to make it on time for their respective classes. 

Among the hundreds of students there was a red haired boy, who was carefully walking between the other students trying to make it to his locker without getting crushed. It was the first day of their new semester after the summer vacation which justified the bustling crowd of the students. 

The red haired boy took a deep breath in relief as he finally managed to get to his locker safely, after taking the notebooks and files he needed, he pulled out his phone dialling his boyfriend's number, locking the locker. He leaned back on the locker waiting for his boyfriend to answer his call. 

He sighed, his lips turning into a small pout as he felt disappointed because even after calling for multiple times his boyfriend didn't answer his call even once. He takes his bag, putting back his phone in the bag, he makes his way out of the hallways to meet his friends. He wanted to go there with his boyfriend, but now he has to go there alone, since his boyfriend seems to be busy. 

After arriving at the canteen where they were supposed to meet, he looks around, his eyes scanning through the canteen searching for his friends. He sighed as he couldn't spot his friends, he unlocked his phone, ready to text his best friend.

'Sunoo!" His fingers stopped on the keypad as he looked in the direction he was called out from. There he saw his friends waving at him, he smiled waving back at them, his eyes moved along the faces of everyone present there, his eyes stopped on a certain face, his eyebrows frowning and smile dropping. Sunoo's hand dropped as he suddenly felt sick to his stomach, spotting his boyfriend already present there. 

Sunoo slowly made his way towards them, with slow steps, hundreds of questions running through his mind, but then again why was he even surprised? He should have been used to this by now. It's been almost six months since his boyfriend started acting this way after being together for more than two years. He forced a smile on his face, upon arriving at the table where his friends and boyfriend were present. 

His best friend was the first person to approach him, "Sunoo-hyung" he tapped the chair next to his asking Sunoo to take the seat, Sunoo nodded, settling down in the chair next to his best friend, "Thanks Niki-ya." Niki smiled, shaking his head "you should stop thanking me, it's been almost a year since we became friends, hyung."

Sunoo nodded, his eyes still fixed on his boyfriend, who hadn't looked at him even once since he arrived there, he sighed, not wanting to ruin his mood any further he decided to turn all of his attention and focus on his friends.

Sunoo giggled hitting Niki's shoulder, Niki always had a way of making Sunoo's mood better, "Sunoo-hyung, did you complete your project? You were working on it the whole vacation and wouldn't stop talking about it whenever I called," Niki asked, taking a sip from his drink. 

Sunoo looked at Niki with horror "I FORGOT TO BRING IT!" Sunoo screamed, getting on his feet ready to dash out of the canteen to bring his project, he didn't want to lose points, when he invested his whole vacation in completing the project! He doesn't mind running all the way back to his dorms. 

Before he could take a step forward, he was stopped by a hand on his wrist, and pulled back "yah! Niki let me go, I don't have time for thi-..." He stopped mid sentence as he finally managed to look at the person who was grabbing his wrist "Sunghoon.. hyung?"
