Sunghoon sighed and stared into the mirror. His eyes lingered on the dark circles shadowing his pale, tired face. His face was completely worn out.

He bit his lower lip and slowly moved his hand over his abs, feeling each muscle before gliding it up to his chest.

He slipped on a shirt and brushed his hair, then carefully applied makeup to hide the dark circles under his eyes and the dryness of his lips.

He gave his reflection one last look, ensuring the makeup wasn't too obvious, before stepping out of the washroom.

The sound of the door opening caught Wonyoung's attention. She quickly straightened up, her guard rising as she was arranging the documents.

She turned her head and smiled at Sunghoon. "Are you ready to leave, Sunghoon?"

Sunghoon nodded with a small smile "yeah."

She approached him with measured steps, stopping in front of him. "Shall we go then?" She reached out her hand toward him.

Sunghoon's eyes followed her hand, his eyebrows furrowing slightly as he cleared his throat and moved towards the door. "I think we should hurry. I don't want to be late."

Wonyoung looked down at her empty hand, curling it into a fist as she watched him walk away. "Ye-yeah..."

Sunghoon scrolled through his phone, engrossed in reading articles as he sat in the back of his luxurious car with Wonyoung beside him.

Wonyoung cleared her throat, drawing Sunghoon's attention. He turned his head to meet her gaze. "You have a doctor's appointment this evening," she reminded him.

Sunghoon pressed his lips together, turning his head to look out of the car window at the passing scenery.

"Thank you for reminding me, Wonyoung, but it's been almost two weeks since I was discharged. You don't have to do this anymore," Sunghoon replied in a calm voice.

Wonyoung's smile faded as she stared at Sunghoon's profile, her eyes narrowing. "What do you mean, Sunghoon-ah?"

Sunghoon sighed, turning to face her. "You don't need to come to my apartment every day to check on me or make appointments for me."

Wonyoung bit her lower lip, the corners of her mouth trembling. Her eyes shook with unshed tears. "Alright," she forced a smile, quickly turning her head away as tears trickled down her flushed cheeks.

Sunghoon turned his head to the other side, allowing Wonyoung to grieve in silence as they both waited for their destination in the back seat.

"Yes, yes, I will take my medicine on time, Niki-ya!" Sunoo whined over the phone as he settled into the chair in his cabin.
