The winter sun cast a gentle glow over Sunoo's home as he awoke on the first day of his holidays. The room was warm and cosy, filled with the sweet scent of home.

As he stretched, he let out a sigh, his breath visible in the crisp air. It had been a year since his breakup with Sunghoon, and while the pain had dulled, the memories still lingered.

He pushed himself out of bed and headed downstairs, where the aroma of his mother's cooking greeted him. The clatter of pots and pans was a comforting symphony that he had missed.

His father was sitting at the kitchen table, engrossed in the morning newspaper.

"Morning, son," his father said, looking up with a warm smile. "Did you sleep well?"
Sunoo nodded and replied, "Yeah, it's nice to be back."

His mother set a plate of pancakes in front of him, giving him a knowing look. "You look tired, Sunoo. Are you taking care of yourself?"

Sunoo picked up a pancake, his fingers tracing absent-minded patterns on its surface. "I've been trying to keep busy with work, you know, to keep my mind off things."

His father reached over and patted his hand. "Time heals wounds, my boy. But remember, we're here for you."

As they chatted, Sunoo's grandmother shuffled into the room, her presence catching sunoo's attention "Ah, Sunoo! You're finally here," she said, her voice a mixture of love. "Come give your grandma a  hug."

Sunoo obliged, bending down to hug her frail frame. "It's good to see you, Grandma."
She gave him a knowing smile, her eyes twinkling. "You look so much thinner than the last time I saw you"

Sunoo's chuckled, finding her adorable. They always had a way of making him feel happy, even without saying much. He finished his breakfast and helped his mother clear the table.
