Sunoo's sleek black car pulled up the long driveway of his family house. The sun had barely dropped below the horizont. Sunoo parked the car and glanced over at his cousin, who had fallen asleep during the ride.

"Ready?" Sunoo asked, pushing the car door open.

Yeonjun nodded, with a soft smile on his lips. "Yeah, I missed this place."

As they stepped out, the double doors of the mansion opened to reveal Sunoo's parents, their faces lighting up the moment they saw Yeonjun. His mother, was the first to move. She hurried towards them arms outstretched, pulling Yeonjun into a tight hug before he could even properly greet her.

"Oh, Yeonjun! It's been so long," she said, her voice rich with affection. "We've missed you so much."

Sunoo's father followed, his smile more restrained but no less genuine. He patted Yeonjun on the shoulder. "Look at you, always so busy with your work."

Yeonjun chuckled, he face shining with happiness . "The shooting for my new drama just wrapped up," his eyes lit up as he mentioned his new project. "I can't wait to show it to you all. It's... something different this time."

"Of course it is," Sunoo's mother said, beaming as she released him from the hug. "You always manage to surprise us. But you must be tired-come inside, we've prepared all of your favorite dishes."

Sunoo lingered by the car for a moment, watching as his parents rushed Yeonjun inside. His heart felt lighter seeing the scene unfolding in front of his eyes, but something deep inside his heart he could feel-a fleeting sense of distance, He shook off the thought and followed them.

The dining room was a grand, with a table long enough to seat twelve, though tonight it was just the four of them. The chandelier above casted a warm glow over the table decorated with expensive set of plates and a spread of Yeonjun's favorite dishes.

As they began to eat, Sunoo's mother smiled across the table at Yeonjun. "Did you tell Sunoo about the surprise yet?"

Sunoo, stopped mid-bite, raised an eyebrow and turned to his cousin. "Surprise? What surprise?"

His father chuckled, setting down his glass. "Oh, you'll be happy to hear this one."

Yeonjun, who had been unusually quiet, smiled softly as he looked at Sunoo. "It's something I've been keeping to myself for a while, because I wanted to tell you in person ." He slowly lifted his hand, and there was a beautiful diamond ring on his ring finger. "I'm getting married!"

Sunoo's eyes widened, his fork clattering onto the plate. For a moment, all he could do was stare, trying to process what Yeonjun had just told him. Then, when the information finally settled in a wide grin broke out on his face.
