"I can't marry you! And you know that very well, Moonyoung-ah!" a man in his late twenties screamed, punching the wall in frustration.

Moonyoung flinched, backing away as she shielded her flat belly with both arms. "I-I know... but what about our child?" she asked, her voice trembling.

The man turned his head to face the woman standing on the other side of his living room.

He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration, then stopped, staring at the woman with desperate eyes.

"Get rid of it... I can't take responsibility for a child yet. I'm not ready, and if my father finds out about this, he'll fucking disown me!"

His eyes suddenly dropped, shaking with tears as he covered his mouth, sobbing silently. "I-I'm sorry... I am truly sorry for being such a coward."

Moonyoung stood frozen, staring at the man she once loved.

She scoffed as tears welled up in the corners of her eyes. "Why are you crying? It's my life that's ruined... because I am fucking stupid"

She continued through gritted teeth, "So stop crying.."

The man stared at her as the room fell silent, his mouth slightly open. He was speechless, but deep down, he knew her words were true. He was only trying to justify his actions by shifting the blame to his father.

He wiped away tears "what are you gonna do now?"

Moonyoung chuckled mockingly, her tear-filled eyes glaring at him. "That's none of your fucking business anymore. Let's never see each other again... Jang Joong-ki."

Joong-ki gulped, his eyes dropping down under Moonyoung's sharp glare. He panicked as she walked toward the main door.

He rushed to her side, trying to stop her, he grabbed her arm "Moonyoung.."

His eyes softened as he continued , "And what about our child...?"

Moonyoung stared at him with a numb gaze. "My child," she declared, pulling her arm out of his hold. Without looking back, she walked out the door, leaving a stunned Joong-ki behind.

8 years later.

Joong-ki sighed for the umpteenth time as he stared at the unconscious body of his wife. He buried his face in his hands, sobbing silently as he dropped to his knees, shaking with each sniffle and sob.

The unconscious woman in her mid thirties slowly opened her eyes as the loud cries of her husband reached her ears. "Honey...?" she whispered, her voice weak and fragile.
