Sunghoon stood outside of the operating room, his hands and clothes soaked in blood. His fearful eyes stared at the huge doors of the operating room, the scene painted with a mix of fear and anxiety.

A man walked up to Sunghoon, kneeling down in front of the young boy. He spoke in a gentle voice, careful not to scare the child even further. "Sunghoon, it's going to be alright. The doctors will save your mother and the baby." he reassured sunghoon holding his tiny cold hand in his own warm huge hands.

"You should get cleaned up," the man spoke with desperation in his voice and tears in his eyes. Even though he was trying to comfort the young Sunghoon, he wasn't sure about what was going to happen to Mina either. He was scared, not wanting to lose his older sister.

Sunghoon turned his head, now facing the kneeling man. "Uncle.. where's Dad?" Sunghoon asked, his voice cracking and shaking. His eyes held hesitation, as deep down, Sunghoon knew where his dad might be. But he wanted to deny that reality for the sake of his own peace.

Jin's eyes saddened as he looked away, not knowing how to answer the child. "He will be here soon..." he lied, unable to bring himself to disclose the truth about Sunghoon's father's whereabouts.

He opened his arms, carrying the child in his embrace as he walked away from the operating room. He needed to ensure that Sunghoon was okay, knowing that if anything happened to him, Mina would never forgive him.

Earlier that day...

"Hoonie! Hurry up, sweetie! You're going to be late for school!" Mina shouted from downstairs, busy packing her son's lunchbox. Sunghoon quickly placed his school bag over his tiny shoulders, rushing downstairs in a hurry.

He hugged his mom's leg, smiling. "Mom!" Mina chuckled, patting his head gently. "Eat your breakfast first." She placed his breakfast on the table, helping him to sit on the chair. "I'll go help your dad. Make sure to finish your breakfast," she said, planting a gentle peck on his forehead.

Her legs were swollen, and her belly was too big. It was almost the due date, and she was getting exhausted easily compared to before. Her body had also become quite sensitive ever since she got pregnant with her second child. The physical toll of pregnancy had made Mina exhausted with her life.

She climbed upstairs with slow steps, one hand supporting her huge belly. She sighed, breathing heavily as her legs hurt even more after climbing the stairs. Slowly, she made her way towards her shared bedroom with Haneul.

Before she could enter the room, she heard her husband talking over the phone with someone. She stopped, standing behind the door as she silently heard him speaking, "Yes, baby, you can move into my house very soon. You know that. You are the only one whom I love."
