Poppy Playtime's History:

Elliot Lugwig was the former owner of the Poppy Playtime Factory. In 19-, he lost his daughter Poppy Lugwig. This made him want to bring her back by turning her into a doll since he created dolls and toys. This made other employees want to bring their dead ones back, so Elliot hired scientists to work in the factory. These scientists decided to work on real life orphans especially one of the scientists named James Carter, whom was Evelyn's great grandfather and had multiple disorders.

Later on, Huggy Wuggy ran away from the factory (months after being created). There was a search team of 3 employees looking for him: Marcus Wellington, Elizabeth Jones and Harry Baker. They all died by being consumed by Huggy Wuggy. Huggy Wuggy started living on humans as food (and so did the other toys) after being starved for so long.

The former owner's of the factory decided to cover all of this history up, but keeping the '5 time strike'. The '5 time strike' is a law/rule in the factory, where the toys can't 'misbehave' for less than 5 times otherwise the employees use a historical antidote made by the scientists a long time ago. This antidote causes the toys to become more psychotic or aggressive based on mood swings. The antidote was never have known to have done this as a result until many years later when Evelyn Carter was in control of the factory. Evelyn Carter only decided to use the unknown antidote to keep the children safe, not knowing the exact consequences of it.
