The place looks grand.
And to think I nearly destroyed the place nearly 3 weeks ago.
The ceiling and the walls of all 4 corners are now illuminated by purple LED lights that match perfectly with those elegant sashes that you may find in a theater. Wedding tables with pearl white tablecloths and chairs.
Now I know why Hayleigh was spending so long on her makeup. I suddenly feel a bit underdressed.
The only thing I can say about this whole place is "dang'.
"This place is amazing." Alina says in awe, just like me.
"You took the words right outta my mouth, kid." I whisper.
And also highly terrifying. These people are all pretty and elegant and...I don't know how to act pretty and elegant.
"Come on gang!" Hayleigh shouts. "The guests are coming soon and we have to be here and greet them." She suddenly whispers in my ear in a concerned voice, "Also while we're here please please please please please try not to insult anybody. Please."
I roll my eyes. "Fine, I'll try. So how long do we stand here f-"
"Well if it isn't the Coveys. What an honor it is to be at this gala."
