“Sunoo.”

The sound of his name being called startled Sunoo, making him freeze. His body tensed instantly as his breath hitched in his throat, recognizing the voice he hadn't heard in so long. Slowly, he turned around as his heart thudded loudly in his chest.

“Wh-what are y-you d-doing here?” Sunoo stammered, his eyes turning wide as he faced Hyunwoo and an unpleasant chill washed over him. His usual composed self shattered giving way to a wave of nervousness he couldn’t hide. His voice shook with unease, betraying the anxiety he tried so hard to suppress.

“Who?” Heeseung’s voice, sharp and commanding, cut through the air. His eyes darted between Sunoo and the unfamiliar boy standing too close for comfort.

“I should be the one asking that. What are you doing here?” the boy infront of them asked walking slowly toward Sunoo. His gaze was hard, unreadable but there was a tension brewing behind those eyes and Sunoo could feel it.

Heeseung looked at between them, his expression turning to one of curiosity. He glanced at Sunoo and for the first time, he saw something different in smaller's expression.

Sunoo, who was usually soft-spoken and gentle, now had a furrowed brow and clenched fists though his anger was laced with fear. Sunoo wasn’t angry in a way that would scare anyone—he looked more hurt, more vulnerable and Heeseung could sense it.

The other five boys, Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, and Niki had followed Heeseung out, stopping a few feet behind him. They witnessed the scene unfolding before them, their eyes locking onto Sunoo's tense frame. He looked small, cornered and fragile under the weight of whatever emotional storm was brewing. This wasn’t the Sunoo they knew.

Heeseung's expression darkened, his eyes narrowing on the boy standing in front of Sunoo. His voice came out low and clipped. “I asked, who is he?” His tone wasn’t merely a question, it was a demand filled with possessiveness and his teeth gritted together.

Sunoo swallowed, sensing the anger simmering beneath Heeseung’s calm exterior. He could already see where this was going.

The boy standing across from them sneered, throwing a careless glance at Heeseung before fixing his eyes back on Sunoo.

“So, you made a new boyfriend?” he said, his voice dripping with disdain clearly intending to provoke, his words sharp and cruel dug into Sunoo's chest. The tension thickened in the air and the boys behind Heeseung bristled at the audacity of the newcomer.

Sunoo’s heart sank deeper into the pit of his stomach. His hand instinctively reached for Heeseung’s forearm, his fingers trembling as they curled around the older’s sleeve.

“Heeseung hyung, l-let’s go s-somewhere else.” he whispered, his voice barely holding together. Sunoo’s eyes darted around nervously, fully aware of how close they all stood to the chaos that was about to explode. His plea wasn’t just for himself—it was for Heeseung too. He knew his hyung well enough to know this was dangerous territory.

“P-please h-hyung.” Sunoo begged, his wide pleading eyes searching Heeseung’s face. He wasn’t just asking to leave, he was asking for mercy, for calm. He needed to get away from this before everything spiraled out of control. But Heeseung’s expression was unreadable. His jaw clenched, his eyes hard as he considered Sunoo’s words for a moment and with a low hum of acknowledgment he gave in.

Heeseung took Sunoo’s hand, his grip strong as he led him away from the crowd. The tension between them thickened with every step while Sunoo followed closely, his heart pounding in his chest, the noise of their surroundings fading as they neared the exit of the guest house.
