TW: underage drinking, underage clubbing (?)
(this is just for the story, so please, I encourage you to drink when you're of legal age. It's your choice whether you drink or not, but pls, for your health, I'd suggest drinking when you're actually allowed to-- it'll affect your brains if they're not mature enough yet >.<)
Lukas stood in the corner of the club, gripping a glass of water in his hand tightly. People danced around him, clearly drunk. The music blared from the speakers and it hurt his ears.
Elaine had already left him, and he was lost in the middle of the crowd of people clubbing. Some of them weren't even high schoolers— looking to be in college or older.
Bodies all tangled together in a huge mess of a crowd, and Lukas could barely focus on just one person. One limb seemed to be connected to another, and another.
And then Lukas was suddenly pushed directly into the crowd and he stumbled. "Ack—" He yelped, as someone else pulled him, and then another shoved him away.
His head pounded, and he kept getting pushed and shoved back and worth— almost as if he were in the ocean with strong waves pushing him and swaying him.
"Ooh, you're cute looking. How old are you, handsome?" A female voice rung in his ear. He glanced towards her, and found a college girl with neon green highlights in her hair and thick makeup on.
"U—Um seventeen." He stammered out.
The music blared louder and he had to strain his ears to listen to the girl's words.
"Wanna... bar... together... now... dance... you... them?" Was all he could make out, and he was even more confused as the girl winked at him.
He stumbled back. "Sorry!" He said, before pushing through the crowd and darting away.
Why did I even agree to this? Why did I even come here?! Lukas hurried back over to the corner he had been at.
I... I wish Raven were here. A thought crossed his mind. The gleaming dark amber eyes and the cherry-vanilla scent, the fluffy dark hair, the fierce eyes turning soft.
Someone tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around to find Elaine, and a guy hanging off of her.
"Drink." She ordered, shoving a glass of bubbling yellow in his hand. Lukas eyed it, then eyed her, confused.
"...What? What is this?" He stared at her, confused. He didn't know where he had gotten all this confident to actual speak up and question her. Maybe it was just because, oh~ I don't know... HE WAS IN A LITERAL CLUB?!
Elaine looked angry. "Just do what I say! Or," She grinned. "Are you still a scaredy little cat who can't function without his only friend and knight in shining armor?" Elaine mocked.
It was a low blow to mention Raven. But it also made Lukas angry.
"I can do stuff without him! And I'll prove it to you tonight! Right now, in fact!" And with that, Lukas took the drink and drank it in one go.
The fierce liquid burned his throat, but he gulped it down. He blinked, his throat on fire and his vision going blurry. Everything suddenly seemed too bright and too loud. Everything was so heightened.
Lukas swayed.
Underage drinking. Underage clubbing. Listening to Elaine, of all people. Why am I doing this? I know I shouldn't. But why am I? Am I... Am I that desperate to show that I'm fine without Raven...?
