Lukas awoke the next morning to the sound of birds chirping outside his window.
He sat up and realized three things at once: A. He was changed into the fluffy pajamas Raven gave him last night, B. He was in the guest room's bed, and C. Raven was asleep, sitting beside his bed.
He couldn't remember last night after he threw up... But he didn't feel gross or sticky, so he had to assume he had taken a shower (or a bath) before going to sleep.
Lukas faintly remembered Raven pulling him to get up and wash up, and then having him get changed and brush his teeth. And he vaguely remembered Raven saying something, and sitting beside his bed— where he still was, fast asleep.
Lukas wondered if he should let the dark-haired boy sleep or wake him up. He couldn't remember what day it was, but he did know it definitely wasn't a weekend.
Thursday? Friday? Ugh, I can't remember.
Eun-sun entered the room and Lukas blinked.
"Oh, you're awake. Good." He smiled.
Lukas nodded. "I... I am." He said slowly. Eun-sun walked over.
"I was going to tell you and Raven that you two don't have to go to school today." The orange-haired male spoke.
Lukas stared at him. "Wait, it's a weekend? I thought it was, like, Friday or Thursday."
Eun-sun sighed.
"It is a Friday, but I called in to have you two skip the day. After your... little party and drinking last night—" Lukas flushed at the way Eun-sun eyed him scoldingly. "—I thought you should rest for the day. And I doubt Raven would just go to school knowing you're home alone."
"Oh. Uh, thank you." Lukas said.
Eun-sun grinned wryly. "Yeah. No problem. I have work, so I really have to get going, unfortunately, but when Raven wakes up, tell him you both skip school today and that I called in. And also tell him spare blood bags are in the fridge. Make sure he eats— he has a habit these days of skipping breakfast. Maybe stored animal blood isn't appealing to him now. I try my best to get him out during weekends to hunt for fresh meals, but..." He shrugged.
Lukas nodded. "I'll make sure he eats." He promised, not feeling weirded out anymore with the mention of blood and hunting anymore.
"Good, thanks. I'll get going. You have my number, call me if the house catches on fire or something." The orange-haired joked. "Or, just call me if anything happens. I might not be your parent, but I am here." He said more seriously.
Lukas felt a little emotional, and tried not to tear up. He nodded again. "I will. Thank you."

After Eun-sun left, Lukas went to wash his face and head downstairs to find something to eat. Funny as it was to say, the Gwon mansion was starting to really feel like his own house— except more homey, if that was possible.
Eun-sun had thankfully left a bowl of fresh Greek yogurt and sliced fruit for Lukas to eat for breakfast. He was really starting to become Lukas' guardian, wasn't he?
Lukas nearly inhaled the yogurt— it was the perfect blend of sweet and plain. The sweetness of the fruits mixed with the plain yogurt to create a perfect blend.
Once he had finished, he put the bowl in the sink (it was the least he could do) and headed back upstairs. Raven was still asleep, and Lukas doubted his posture was comfortable.
"Raven? Hey, wake up!" He shook the dark-haired boy's shoulders gently. "Rav? Wake up."
The boy groaned, and his eyes fluttered open. The amber jewels settled on Lukas, and the latter blushed at the way Raven looked at him. Like...
Raven yawned, standing up. His spine cracked and he winced. "Ah, I must've fallen asleep last night. I was only going to stay till you fell asleep and stopped crying."
I was crying?!
Lukas cleared his throat, opting to ignore the fact he might or might have not been crying for a moment.
"Eun-sun said he called our school and he's letting us both skip school for today. And he also said to drink the blood bags in the fridge." He said.
But seriously, I was crying?!
Now that Raven mentioned it... he faintly remembered tearing up when he got in bed last night... but he didn't remember why. But that was besides the point now.
"Wash up, and come down. I already ate breakfast just now." Lukas said. Raven nodded in response and shuffled into the connected bathroom.
Lukas headed downstairs and opened the fridge. On the bottom shelf, it was piled up with clear plastic bags of red liquid.
Shit... I have to admit... this is kiiinda weird, but I'm not letting Raven skip breakfast. Reluctantly, he picked up one of the bags. Raven came down just as Lukas closed the fridge.
The dark haired male had a fuzzy headband that held his bangs off his forehead, and water dripped from his face. Lukas guessed he had washed his face.
He then took one glance at the blood bag, before turning back to Raven.
Lukas held up the bag, and smiled friendly.
"Hey, Raven. Breakfast!" He said, cheerfully.
Raven stared at the blood bag blankly. "I don't like pig blood."
Lukas blinked, flustered. "Oh, uh, sorry. I mean, all of the bags looked the same— I didn't know this one was pig blood, or that you hate it! Um, should I get you another one?" He asked.
