Lukas fought the tears that threatened to spill out, as he rushed down the hallway.
People shot him nasty glares as he bumped into them, but Lukas was too focused on trying not to burst into tears in front of everyone.
He was pathetic. Crying over something like that. A bunch of girls making him cry. He was such a loser.
His mind conjured up an image of Raven.
Raven wouldn't have let those girls be. If those girls were mean to HIM, he would've snapped something back. He would've fought.
But these kinds of things never happen to HIM, do they? He's perfect, smart, amazing, athletic, and even has a sharp mouth. And everyone loves him as soon as they meet him.
An extrovert, talkative, and always knowing what to do and say.
It must be... really nice to be him.
Lukas rounded the corner and full on collided with someone. There was a flash of dark hair and amber brown eyes, before he found himself on the ground.
"Oh my god, I'm sorry— wait, Luke?!"
He looked up and found a familiar dark haired boy leaning over him, eyes clouded with deep worry.
And... despite feeling jealous of Raven, at the same time, he desperately wanted him to tell him everything was okay. He wanted Raven to hug him and then solve his problems.
How much more pitiful can I get? He thought. I can't even do anything. And I'm selfishly expecting someone else to get rid of all my issues? And from Raven, no less? Why am I such a shitty friend? Why am I such a shitty person in general?
Raven furrowed his brows. "Luke, are you okay? Do I need to bring the nurse?"
Lukas blankly stared at the floor.
The girls were right. I really am the most pathetic person on Earth.
"Luke? Luke? Luke!" Raven waved his hand in front of Lukas' face.
Why am I so bad at being a friend? Why is Raven so perfect? Why do I lack at being a person? Lukas' throat choked up, tears still threatening to fall out.
"Oh god, does he have a concussion?" He faintly heard Raven mumble.
Lukas looked up at Raven, his vision getting blurry from the tears. Raven met his eyes and instantly, a wave of concern washed over his face.
"Luke, what's wrong?" He asked gently, crouching down beside him.
"I—" Lukas choked.
"Okay, it's okay." Raven soothed.
Something warm flooded over Lukas in waves of relief, and then he instantly felt guilty for having to burden Raven and make him worry.
"I—" I'm sorry, he wanted to say, but the words wouldn't come out.
Raven shook his head gently. "C'mon, let's get you up on your feet. This ground's dirty. C'mon, up you go." He said, like he was talking to a little kid.
But oddly, Lukas was okay with it.
He let Raven pull him up to his feet, and blankly let Raven lead him into the now-empty art room. He sat Lukas on one of the stools, and then rummaged around in his backpack.
He finally pulled out a water bottle and uncapped it, before offering it to Lukas.
With shaking hands, Lukas took it and brought it to his lips. He took tiny sips, his hands shaking.
"Drink first, calm down, then you can tell me what happened, okay?" Raven said sweetly.
I don't deserve such an amazing friend like him. Lukas thought.
He simply gave a nod and tried to take more sips, but his hands were shaking so much, that he just handed it back to Raven.
The dark haired capped it again, before studying Lukas with scrutinizing eyes.
A/N: isn't Raven so sweet? He's by far, my favorite character. ( >,<) Who's yours, dear readers? Lukas? Raven? Eun-san?
