Doctor Liz closed the window and watched as (F/N) began running along the roof, before disappearing from sight completely, given how far away his house was to the rest of the city. He had a soft smile on his face. Feeling confident that he helped someone, we went to clean up his brief meeting with (F/N). But as he did, he began to really delve into (F/N)'s idea to join the White Fang.
Why did I say no? Eric asked himself as he picked up the cups. A boy that brilliant would help the cause so much, but...for whatever reason I told him to go home. The doctor walked through his home, as he wracked his mind to find out why he did what he did. What did he see in (F/N) that made him reconsider?
The doctor stood in the kitchen of his home, setting the cups down into the sink and leaned against the counter.
For a long time, Doctor Liz had went through numerous discrimination in his childhood. Even though he dropped out of combat schools to become a scientist, he was still greeted with hostility. His own dream was to become a good scientist to make the world a better place, that was what he felt in his heart to do for a long time. However, he wouldn't be hired in any labs. No research paper, no matter how well it was prepared or what stimulating theories he presented, would hire him. He was nearly on wits end, until he was approached by someone.
Adam Taurus.
He had offered Eric the chance to use science to help the Faunus.
"To show the humans how wrong they are," were the words Adam used. But his tone suggested something else. He was...almost angry. Vitriol was laced in his voice, and his balled fist suggested vengeance. But Eric only cared about the words said, and not the language his body spoke. He agreed, being brought into a group who sympathized with him and helped him achieve his goal. The last time he was in camp with them was when Adam was approached by some mysterious people; two girls and a guy. The offered something, but he was handling Dust bullets to a particular Cat.
After that, he was able to join the Vale Branch Labs in his pursuit to help bring equality to manking. Thanks to that, he was able to get a job there and begin his research on the serum he had spoken to Adam about.
"Their interest in the serum gave me this chance to become a scientist in a lab. To follow my dream," Eric said to himself. "But why did I deny (F/N)?" Different ideas went around his head as he saw himself in the reflection of the window. Something didn't seem right to him as he kept looking at himself. The only thing that made sense was that there was a small part of him that wanted to save him from Adam. Or perhaps he didn't want (F/N) to commit crimes under the banner of the White Fang, or to commit crimes at all.

Ruby sat on her bed, the top bunk over Weiss's bed. She was curled up, knees to her chest, and looking at the foot of her bed. Her head was full of thoughts about the swift change (F/N) went through, in only a couple of days. She attempted earlier to do something to get on the right track to being a normal day, or to feel upbeat and simply regard the day as a bad day for (F/N). But she couldn't shake the strange feeling.
Probably because it felt all too familiar to her.
She had believed that (F/N) was hiding something for a long time, not daring to tell anyone about what had happened or who he was before. But because she drove him to a point where he would end up revealing himself, she was scared that she might lose him.
You see, she had another person who was hiding something from her for a long time. Something that nearly jeopardizes the team as a whole.
While Blake was a cat Faunus, having a set of cute cat ears on her head, she was also a former member of the White Fang, serving underneath Adam. A spat between her and Weiss led to the cat Faunus to reveal herself. A secret she had kept to herself was instantly revealed when she couldn't take Weiss talking badly about Faunus.

FanficThe Faunus of Remnant were, and have always, been treated as freaks of nature. People not deserving of rights and equality. The many years of segregation had pushed people to extremes, especially in the field of science.
