Fleet Captain Andrews sat in the observation lounge on Deck Two of the USS Emden, gazing at the sight of the stars stretching out behind the vessel. He had been procrastinating from looking at his fleet's readiness. Sometimes he helped Relor do this. It was Relor's job. But, now it was his. Eventually, he stopped stargazing and observed the computer access terminal placed on the table. He skimmed through all the ships, their readiness, damage levels and other important pieces of information until he saw something that interested him. There was a ship class here he hadn't heard of before. "The Daring class..." He said to himself, as he accessed the ship's file. He was surprised by what he saw. He never saw a visual of the ship, but now that he had... he found it strange. The daring class was essentially, a Constitution II class cruiser, but with another secondary hull attached directly to the aft portion of the saucer and flipped. Its nacelles no longer poked over the saucer, but fell just under, as another pair came from the dorsal secondary hull and attached to the original pair. It had a dual photon torpedo launcher (a much smaller version than the main launcher) on each side of each secondary hull, and at the base of the nacelle pylons were the same tubular phaser emitters seen on the Reliant-type Miranda class' roll bar. She had two deflector dishes, two warp cores and four nacelles. "Relor would have called this the poor man's Proxima," Andrews thought, reminiscing how his old Captain missed the USS Ranger and its firepower.
