STAR TREK: DISTORTION (star trek vs star wars fanfiction)

PROLOGUE

(the above picture is the USS Expedition)

Smoke overwhelmed the eyes and noses of every person on the bridge; with main power out, it was only lit by dim emergency lights. However, the emergency lights only made it harder to see through the smoke that filled the room. People could barely see their stations or where they were going. They could only hear the alarms and the screams of the injured.

"Shields down to seven percent and falling captain" - The science officer reported. Directly after this, more voices echoed from the fog.

"Twenty-seven enemy fighters destroyed, phasers losing power"

"Three percent on aft shields, bow emitters are burned out"

"Hull breaches on decks: three, four, five, and ten"

"More incoming fighters, bearing one-nine-seven mark eight-two"

"Firing phasers"

"Sickbay overcrowded"

"Life support on decks one through six offline"

"Thirty-one enemy craft destroyed"

"Torpedo launchers damaged, unable to fire"

"Hull breach on deck twelve, the nacelle has broken free"

"We have no nacelle?"

"Reserve power failing"

"All hands abandon ship, send a subspace message to Starbas-"

"Subspace transeiver offline"

"Then send a radio transmission, let them know where to find us"

"Warp core containment breach in five minutes"

Outside the walls of the vessel, hundreds of small automated fighters swarmed The Expedition, gnawing away at its shields, then eventually its hull, until, after a long and brutal battle, the Expedition, a dated and proven ship finally stopped moving. The chief engineer managed to stop a warp core breach, but there was barely any ship left to save. 

The crew of the Expedition did manage to get the radio signal out, however, they were 51 lightyears from the closest Federation Starbase, and the ship was listed as missing in action. The federation had to wait 51 years to discover the fate of the Expedition. As well as to figure out there were forces from another universe invading their galaxy without them knowing.
