Rauru and Sonia sat upon their thrones, the afternoon light shimmering through the stained glass window above them. Zelda stood by Rauru's side. She cautiously watched as Ganondorf bowed down to Rauru and Sonia, some of his Gerudo warriors behind him.

Ganondorf's voice was low, "Allow me to offer you my deepest apologies, on behalf of the Gerudo, for taking so long to accept your repeated invitations. It is our desire to be accepted into the protective embrace of your kingdom. To serve it faithfully."

Rauru straightened his posture, "A welcome appeal, Ganondorf. I will accept your vow of fealty to the Kingdom of Hyrule. I understand that a single male is born to the Gerudo every 100 years. Receiving such an appeal from you, a hero to his people and a king by birth... Well, it is truly reassuring."

"It is my honor. When your Zonai ancestors first descended upon these lands long, long ago, they must have seemed to be gods. And now you rule as King of Hyrule and have taken a Hyrulean woman as your wife. Your Majesty has certainly risen above your admirable lineage. Most impressive..." the Gerudo Chief clenched his hands and stared up at the king, "It is unfortunate that the noble Zonai no longer grace this world with their presence. All except you and your sister, that is..."

Rauru sensed the uneasiness in his statement. He held his gaze with more power. "Even if something were to happen to my sister and I, both my kingdom and the peace it brings—these will endure generations to come." The two stared each other down for a moment. Zelda could sense the tension. She glanced over at Sonia who seemed to not be bothered. "Your actions today are appreciated, Ganondorf. I look forward to your future endeavors. You may leave."

"Your Majesty." Ganondorf bowed his head once more. He grabbed his katana and began walking away, his warriors following him. With each step, his evil smile grew wider and wider.

Once the Gerudos had made their leave, Zelda turned to the two leaders. "Rauru, I believe that man's heart holds many dark ambitions. Just his name...even that gives me pause."

"I am well aware of his evil nature," Rauru nodded. "For that reason, and others, I want him close. It will be easier to keep an eye on him. There is nothing to worry about."

Zelda's eyes wavered as she looked to Sonia, who now had a reassuring smile. The future queen felt her heart fumble with doubt, but she wanted to trust her predecessors. "Okay...I believe you."

Somewhere in the wilderness rested a gazebo. Inside the gazebo was a table where empty tea cups and food rested. Zelda sat on one end of the table with Rauru and Sonia on the other side. Two Hylian soldiers guarded the royal family.

Zelda reached her hand forward for the kettle of tea, accidentally bumping her tea cup off the table in the process. She gasped as it was about to shatter against the ground, but it stopped in midair before it could, and it was gently set back onto the table. Zelda stared at the cup in awe then noticed how Sonia's hand was held out. She realized that it was thanks to Sonia's power that the cup was saved.

Sonia's voice was gentle, "Are you well? You seem a bit distracted."

"I apologize." Zelda slumped her shoulders down. "I keep getting lost in my thoughts, thinking about how I can return home. With your power over time... If I were able to learn that kind of control, I might be one step closer to my era."

"I see..." The queen set her hand on her own tea cup. "The secret is to think of it like drawing out the object's memory. You ask the object where it was, how it arrived where it is now, and then you coax it back to that original moment in time."
