You and your father gasped as you stumbled upon the ruined settlement of Lurelin Village. A giant pirate ship rested in the bay, and monster camps scattered across the whole village. There seemed to be no villagers in sight.
"What happened?" You breathed out.
Suddenly, an older gentlemen came up behind you and said, "King Link, Princess ____, I'm sorry, but if you two wanted to visit Lurelin, I suggest you make other plans. As head of the village, it's my duty to protect the locals and visitors alike."
Link turned around to see Rozel, the leader of Lurelin. "Rozel, thank you for your concern. We had other reasons in coming here, but please allow us to help you in whatever catastrophe has befallen this place."
"It's clear as day, ain't it? Monsters have taken over the village! I don't know why. Food, supplies, what-have-you... By some bit of luck, everyone was able to safely evacuate. Sadly, that leaves them with no home. My people have scattered all over, but they assured me that they'd come back the second they heard that the village was rid of these monsters."
"Did this happen after the Upheaval?" you asked.
"Yes. It was when the sky was all red and monsters started raining from the sky."
"We'll help you, Rozel," Link assured. "You'll have your village back in no time. ____, come on!"
You and your father glided down to where the restaurant would have been. There were a couple black bokoblins and a single silver bokoblin. You took it upon yourself to fight against the black bokoblins while your father handled the silver one. The monsters were dealt with in no time, and you both hurried over to the remains of the casino.
You hopped over the fence and charged at more bokoblins. Your father was about to follow, but he noticed smoke coming from a nearby well. He decided to jump in to see if there were any villagers hiding, but instead he found a black bokoblin. He quickly finished it off and Ascended back to the surface. Meanwhile, you had expertly killed one of the bokoblins, and a silver bokoblin was trying to charge at you. You quickly dodged before it could hit you, and you rushed in for a flurry of attacks. It squealed as you stabbed it in the head, killing it on the spot.
Link gave you a proud smile and hurried off to the next camp of monster by the docks leading to where the general store would be. It consisted of three bokoblins and a black lizalfos. While he tried to get a hit on the lizalfos, you fought against the bokoblins. Again, the battle was easily won, and you helped your father slow down the lizalfos so that he could kill it.
The next camp of monsters was on the other side of the village near Rozel's house. There was a black lizalfos and two black bokoblins. The group was no match for you two as you had caught them by surprise. Now all that was left to investigate was the pirate ship. Your father tapped on the ring that Tulin had given him, sending out the Rito's avatar. The Wind Sage created an updraft beneath you two, allowing you both to glide over to the boat.
When you both landed, a black boss bokoblin immediately alerted the other monsters residing in the ship. Your father brought out the rest of the Sages' avatars, and they began fighting against the monsters. This allowed you and your father to focus on the boss bokoblin.
"____, find some high ground!" your father ordered.
You climbed atop some boxes while he climbed up a ladder. "Now what?" you called out.
"Jump and shoot at its eye!"
You followed his instructions, sending several arrows that lodged into the beast's eyes. Your father then jumped from his place, sending down a bomb arrow right into the frantic beast's mouth. The monster brutally exploded, now leaving the easier monsters for last. It was even more simple considering the Sage avatars were doing much of the damage. The monster pirates were no match for the King and Princess of Hyrule.
