The Bootcamp Mentors are proud to present a spotlight interview with LigiaNunes. Check out this writer's work and give them a shout out in the comments.

BCM: What motivated you to become a Bootcamp Mentor and what have you found most valuable about this Wattpad community program?

Ligia: I learned so much with the Bootcamp Mentor workshops in 2020. As I developed my writing skills, I knew I wanted to give back to this amazing community and be closer to some of the people who helped me win my first Watty. Becoming a Bootcamp Mentor allowed me to do just that! What I love the most about this mentorship is that everyone here is passionate about sharing knowledge and helping other writers grow. ♥

BCM: What prompted you to start writing on Wattpad and what is one thing you find valuable about the platform?

Ligia: I've always loved to tell stories, but as a Brazilian living in Brazil, I've never had anyone to show the ones I wrote in English. In Wattpad, I found a fantastic community that helped me learn and thrive. My readers, their feedback, and the friends I made on Wattpad are, without a doubt, one of my biggest treasures!

BCM: Tell us one thing about your writing process that you've incorporated into your mentoring.

Ligia: The way I look at my writing is very "modular," and I definitely tried to add that to my mentoring. I don't see a book as one long thread but as several smaller boxes that can be re-arranged for the biggest impact! :)

BCM: What is the username of your 2023 mentee and the title of their story? If you had to describe your mentee's story in three words, what would they be?

Ligia: The awesome ebenezerbean author of Dead Moon Chapel. And if I had to describe it in three words, it'd be, without a doubt: Thought-provoking, breathtaking, and swoon-worthy!

BCM: Will you be entering a story into the 2023 Wattys? If so, what motivated you to write the story? If not, can you share what you're working on?

Ligia: Yes! With my most recent book Some Thing Called Myself. This one is all about accepting change, greed, and all the magic in Brazilian Folklore, with a love triangle, a Zombie MC, and hot monster hunters to boot! ;)

BCM: Share two Wattpad story recommendations.

Ligia: If you like enemies to lovers, dangerous mermaids, and AMAZING storytelling, please check Dark Waters Rising by OminouslyAnonymous. And if you're looking for a magical, beautifully-written, deep YA book, please read A Girl Named Blush by CocoNichole

Thank you, LigiaNunes. We wish you all the best in your writing endeavors.
