The Bootcamp Mentors are proud to present a spotlight interview with Watts_Writes , author of Shadow Touched. Check out this writer's works and give them a shout out in the comments.

BCM: What prompted you to start writing on Wattpad and what is one thing you find valuable about the platform?

Watts_Writes: I decided to write on Wattpad because I was struggling to find a community of writers I could get feedback from but also because I was eager to get my story out there to a wider audience.

BCM: How did you discover the Bootcamp Mentors and what have you found most valuable about this Wattpad community program?

Watts_Writes: I came across a post about the Bootcamp Mentors from someone I follow. I was interested and so I decided to investigate further.

BCM: What motivated you to write the story you're working on with your mentor?

Watts_Writes: The idea for Shadow Touched is loosely inspired by my love of the story of Pandora from Greek mythology. I mulled the idea around for a few years before I decided to try writing it, but after telling a friend my idea, she was so excited by it, and that excitement gave me the confidence to move forward.

BCM: If you had to describe your story in three words, what would they be?

Watts_Writes: Dramatic, sexy, unique.

BCM: Tell us one thing about your writing process that has helped you the most.

Watts_Writes: I don't bother paying attention to the "rules" of writing. I focus on the story I want to tell because I know no one but me can tell it. I think shedding the idea of rules has helped me to relax and focus more on developing and strengthening my personal style, and for that I'm really happy.

BCM: Share two Wattpad story recommendations.

Watts_Writes: Picking two is so hard! But I'd first have to say any story by my amazing mentor OwlieCat , but Bound by Blood is a Watty award winner so I'd say start with that. And I also adore Blood Bargain by CamelliaCarroll .

Thank you, Watts_Writes. We wish you all the best in your writing endeavors.
